That’s fine, but if he can be resigned reasonably he’s also a useful guy to keep around even if he can’t replicate this past season. Plays the game the right way and pretty well respected by all accounts.

My point was mostly that you weren’t getting a 1st for him and not likely a 2nd, so he stood his ground instead of just taking a 3rd rd pick which I’ve read around here we have lots of.

Yeah, I don't think Slaggert will ever sniff 31 goals in an NHL season.

His 3rd team might have a player if he can do one of those things at a NHL level.

We'll know by how KD handles him.

No, we’ll see how Korchinski does by how Korchinski develops himself. If Korchinski decides to learn and play defense properly. If Korchinski gets more backbone and plays harder and more physically. It’s up to KD to give him opportunities, it’s up to Korchinski to take advantage of those opportunities.

I’m not really keying on him, but Jones has gotten eaten up by both Jarvis and Stankhoven a number of times tonight. Seems he can’t handle the little guys tonight.

Has there been any word on when Kantserov will be available to come to Chicago? I’m guessing the Hawks will have to compensate his team.

All reports were that he was going to play out next season in the KHL then plans on coming over.

Indeed it will. So many high potential prospects. KD’s gonna have to figure out which ones he can keep.

I know they are going on and on about Barkov, but damn this game comes down to the little things, what the hell is Orlov doing giving up inside position?

Congrats to Florida getting by the pretenders

Barkov is in the Toews and Bergeron mold, that’s one big dude I’ll take on my team.

SETH JONES is going to the Stanley Cup! Wow! And how about that throw-away defenseman going to his third cup in a row! Go Forsling!

In the back of my mind, I have a Hawk loyalist area.
The more I see Frondell's play, the more I appreciate how well rounded he is.
He's solid specimen, and the offense is a nice addition to all the stuff he does besides.

He is agile strong and he can surprise with his checks too.

You tell me why you count him out at slot three.

By many accounts Frondell’s skating is very similar to Martone’s.

Unless Misa drops I see Hagens, Martone or an outside chance for Desnoyers.

Considering there is still this much debate, and seemingly about 5 or 6 legitimate options for the Hawks at #3, does it really matter who they pick? They should be getting a top flight player who at worst will be a solid middle six and at best a top line player.

These are the comps I've heard for some of these guys:
Prime Corey Perry/Tkachuk bros
Bergeron/Toews
Monohan/Suzuki/Horvat
Jack Hughes
Getzlaf

I don't think anyone would be upset with any of those options. This pick is not going to make or break this team. It should add another strong piece, but the Hawks already have plenty of potential.

This is also kind of why I keep wondering if the Hawks use it to trade for an established player.
