Next years draft we need to weaponize our picks like SJ and CHI did.
Example,
Trade Col 1st, 2nd 3rd and move up into top 15.
Trade Edm 1st,2nd,2nd and move up into top 10-13
Along with our pick that would be 3 players to help speed up the rebuild, still looking like 5 years + to do it right. Missing no1 center & defenseman and they need to get experience. |

danny boy said he won't send MM to the ahl. so he is guaranteeing him an nhl roster spot.
any thoughts on that? since he wouldn't do the same with cutter. - hello it's me 2050
I'm not sure if Briere said the same thing to Quitter or not. Here Michkov has got a roster spot (the reason Briere said they had to buy-out Atkinson) but that he has to earn his ice time. Did they say to Quitter the same thing or that he would have to earn the roster spot in camp? I wasn't in the zoom call so I really don't know what specificially was said, and Quitter is not talking. |

I've never heard anyone say the first bolded.
As for the second bolded part - I think a #1 overall is a HUGE difference and would take that risk. i simply don't take that risk if it's an unknown mid-round pick. agree to disagree. - anti-lame
https://thehockeywriters....l-draft-prospect-profile/
Not the most credible source but I did come across articles touting him as high as 2.
To be fair most of the top 10 were ranked from 2-10 but the point is he was grouped with them. You can’t really get much higher of projection other than #1 Maybe your standards are too high lol |

so now that you understand that - what does coming here repeating your concerns every day to the same 6-7 do for you?
again, it's called an echo chamber. and I'm really glad you all have each other.

I think there's really nothing wrong with a lot of these signings but I do hope they come with contingencies.
Poehling is great assuming you move Laughton. At this point I'd like to move on from DLo (possibly the worst skating stride in the league if you can call it that) which makes the Hathaway signing make more sense. I like Seeler and the signing would make sense if Risto can be moved. I loved the Tippett ext because as soon as I saw a handful of games I said "that's your TK replacement right there" so that's a great deal assuming you move TK.
If you move TK, Laughton, Risto and rid yourself of DLo I think these moves are great. Lot of "ifs" but I think moving out some players can make sense of these. I can only hope Danny follows through. - anti-lame
So many ‘if’s’ here. The biggest and most important is moving TK. If they do that, I’m back into defending the group for a little. The other moves should be made too but sometimes you don’t get everything you want. |

I really want to believe you Briere .. you can assure the team takes a step forward to becoming a contender by trading away some players now and finishing low in the standings next year for a high pick in a deep draft.
You don't really believe this Briere do you? I'm still kind of inspired by you saying you want to build a team to win a Stanley Cup. Can't do it without elite talent Briere. Teams don't trade you potential elite talent, unless they are named Quitter. Thus the only way to get it is to pick high like the Sharks, Ducks and Blackhawks are doing for multiple years in a row. - jd250
Slowly but surely, trying to flip to the other side. It's pretty comical.

still with the team so they have at least made one really really good decision.
i am all for criticizing the team on aspects I don't agree with. but I am not in the business of looking for things to over exaggerate to be in a perpetual state of misery so a couple of strangers in a message board can all high five each other every day.
it's not healthy. why watch if you get zero enjoyment from them? - anti-lame
You are making a blind assumption - again. I love hockey and still love the Flyers. I enjoy it! That does not mean I can't criticize them. After all this is a New Era of Orange. Something they had to market to get the fans back b/c it was a disaster and they still have a lot of work to do. No different than Eagles fans when things aren't going well.
Maybe, since you are close to the team, you can provide a little more insight instead of acting like the Flyers HB end all and be all. You can't lie - you get satisfaction coming here every single day to crap on posters, post emojis and prop yourself up. Not really healthy...
Still waiting for that opinion over the last decade plus other than keeping Dad around. |

Seems like McKenzie was spot on. No one is saying Buium is not a good prospect, and I certainly would not have been upset if the Flyers picked him. But the fact of the matter is, 12 teams (I am including the Flyers) passed on him and he was the 6th (not the 2nd, 3rd or 4th) defenseman taken off the board. That has got to mean something. |

Briere is full of poop on why they had to buyout Atkinson. Michkov has already earned his ice time. The Flyers will never learn that and how to properly develop players.

The only thing that is comical is you, as you display daily how you cannot partake in a serious hockey comversation because you are the least qualified in the room to have one. That is a fact. How many arguments have you had already today? People are laughing at you, but apparently you could care less.
What I said here is what I have been consistently saying for years, the best way to get elite talent is to pick high in the draft, and to assure your high picks happen at the right draft. Nothing controversial here, except in your pea brain. |

It's very ironic that a poster comes on here, pushes false narratives and tells flat out lies about his connection to the team. Has never offered anything to show that is true. Is called a fool by the blogger, has to change his screen name to escape the embarrassment and then lies about that. Then lectures others about what is healthy behavior. Can't make it up.

We all know who the HB end all be all is. the one. the only.
I don't get any satisfaction out of calling out posters for their negativity. It just seems like the thing to do to feel apart of something. I actually much prefer a reasonable discussion like I was having with Stayin Alive. We disagree but I respect his points. There's no discussions happening here - it's just constant digs at the team. and not even new thoughts. it gets old.
we aren't going to convince each other how to "Hockey Buzz" differently - you're right. but i'm going to keep fighting the good fight. if you were me, you'd all do the same.

now you dont know what was said. understood. seems to not tie into what you have said previously.
either way they botched the cutter situation. no need to comment back on it. |

The second MM signed his deal we should of fired Torts and signed Coach Q to our team. Tort teaching MM how to play hockey is down right challenged thinking.
The coach who knows zero about offense they want to take a gifted scorer and turn him into a blocking and checking machine. WTF!!!!
I don't want him playing torts square defense, and the longer torts is around the longer it will take for MM to get better. Benching someone who is learning doesn't work for me. He will make mistakes just like we all do but you need to balance the mistakes against what he brings to the offense. If he makes a bad play but makes 3 good plays then it is a win, and after a while the bad plays get less and less.
I want MM to not worry about blocking shots , I want him driving play forward and making all his team mates better because he gets the opposing teams out of position and plays open up. Any other thinking on how to coach MM is wrong. |

it's actually better if you don't believe me tbh.
what false narratives? I said there was a major rift in the locker room, a Giroux camp and a Hayes camp that was very obvious to those around the team. I said this before G was even traded. A year later it's the first thing Torts mentioned about the team. Look how all that played out. |
