They don’t panic with the puck. They make subtle little plays under pressure and they support each other at a high level. |

Yes guy is a class act, panthers are built smartly. Players like Bennett, who is quietly an all around player too |

I want Bob to win the cup and prove all the people who doubted him over the years wrong. One more win would cap a hall of fame career.

I agree. I think some people think he’s terrible because he’s not flashy. Interesting how when his play dropped off because of injury the team really struggled isn’t it? He’s def a top 6 centre when healthy. - Hextall271
True. Back surgeries and now a hernia? That's quite a lot of heavy duty injuries and time off to come back from as 31 year old. Hopefully the hernia isn't terribly bad. Would be nice to see Sean get back to the play of a couple years before his back gave out. |

Holy god. We talk about bad deals but man Nurse being a 9mil a year defender makes me appreciate Sanhiem at 6mil a year. |

If Sanheim was a true PP quarterback, I have to admit, this would make his 6 million dollar deal even sweeter. The problem with Sanheim is, he had a lot of even strength offensive production this season and I don’t think he’s gonna be able to continue this year after year. |

No kidding but his deal kicked in last summer, we traded DeAngelo/Provorov, so the next defender the Flyers needed to step up was Sanheim. Hints, why his deal would be sweeter if he was able to step into that role. |

Did Nurse run the PP when he got paid? How the hell did he get 9 million a year?
Also watching last night I felt EDM could use a guy like Konecny. Not saying he would make them win, but just felt his game would be useful against a Panthers team. He plays a Tkatuck lite type of game and EDM seems to not be able to match the Panthers.
But the Panthers are a wagon right now

Good point. I’m not a huge Sanheim fan, there just seems to be something lacking. Even though he has a NTC, the Flyers should attempt to trade him as his value has probably peaked. |

There’s worse contracts than Sanheim’s for sure. With Nurse, he does have all the physical attributes but his issues are between the ears. That’s a bad deal. That’s why I really hope the Flyers think long and hard about TK…love the guy for the next 4 years….it’s the last 4 that are going to hurt….all these long term deals have that risk. With guaranteed contracts you just can’t get out from under them. |

Sanheim is a 2nd pair defenseman and as much as people complain, he is being paid like one.

I actually started to appreciate him more this past year…he at least attempted to address his weakness. I find if I just appreciate him for what he does bring and not focus on what I hoped he would become I can live with him as one of the 6. |

No surprise with how they were dominated by Dallas. The magic is wearing off in Edmonton and they’re facing reality. |

Couts is no longer a top six C on a serious contending team. Agree his game was never built on speed but with knee and back problems he is even slower - hfc355
I would take an 80% healthy Couterier as a 3C, but not at almost $8MM per year for infinity years. Now with 3 serious surgeries in 2 years at 31 years old, I have serious doubts he could even get to 80%.... |

I am really interested to see what they do moving forward with Draisaitl and McDavid.
Draisaitl is going to get at least 12.5 for 8 years and probably more.
Then next season after that McDavid is going to be looking at another 8 year probably close to max contract. Maybe he takes a team friendly deal at 15 million AAV. (18 is MAX if calculated on a 92 million cap.)
Do they cut bait now and trade Draisaitl? Or do they really want to run it back paying those 2 close to 30 million and remain basically a one line team? |

Not sure I agree there. Maybe in the first season after. But then he put up 102 points and should have won the MVP in 17-18. Put up 85 points in 18-19, and has been pretty productive in Ottawa. |
