I disagree. Stating that he lacks drive with all of the available evidence is completely asinine. Unless of course you have some other objective.

1 goal and 1 assist to close out the last 10 games of the season. He really brought it.

Firstly, Celebrini is far from a sure bet and secondly, Flahr has demonstrated that he is an excellent drafter.

if celebrini is far from a sure bet and he is by far the #1 pick, i dont want to trade up

EF mentioned there was interest in Risto but didn't name teams - said if anything happens it would be the offseason

I wouldn't be crazy about EJ but if it's not Staal, it's one million/one year and he sits more than he plays i'm not gonna look for a bridge to jump off. depends on if anything happens with Risto. But if Risto is on the roster and ready to play when the season starts I'd say no to EJ. I want kids to play but you need bodies and there will be injuries. With York, Drysdale and Zamula there's plenty of youth. rotate the others in and see who sticks. the question is will the flyers sign him to make trading that 4th look better or will they just move on? i don't know the answer to this.

i'd revisit frost for pinto. i'd also consider packaging him with the late first to move up.

- RR missed what the last 20 games and had surgery. he has no trade value at the moment. he will need to show he is healthy and actually capable of contributing beofre any team takes on that contract which will still have 2 full years left come the trade deadline.

- there is no need for EJ. you have attard zamula and ginning to battle for those last 2 spots. though the flyers gonna flyer

- if you were ottawa would yo make that deal?

I don't see it as a step back. The bumhole coach had to jerk him around again. Put him in the lineup and leave him there. Give him ice time with offensive talent. I think he can be a 55 point 2C if he reaches his potential.

- if he is traded and never reaches the potential you placed on him will you hold the player accountable at all or will you blame the flyers 100%

here is the deal with frost:

- the coach has def mis-used him a lot of the time. yanked him around.

- While it is also true frost has disappeared for stretches and isnt as good as some make/want him to be.

- Both can and are true.

Unless the Flyers can trade with themselves, as the Flyers regardless of the GM, have shown a penchant for trading for injured players.

what meaningful assets are you getting for those guys? you act as though we are leaving anything significant on the table by keeping them.

maybe its a guarantee we can give him in order to take a lesser number or to go 4 years instead of 5 years? if it makes the player happy and we didn't really plan on trading him in those 2 years anyway what difference does it make? they like the player. you don't, we get it.

The issue with Seeler is that no one was giving him that kind of money, term and guarantee so why did the Flyers have too? Give him the money and term but keep your flexibility. It was the same year when they traded a first for Hartnell and KT. Everyone knew Holmgren was going to blow all offers out of the water, so wait a GD week and save the first. They are so impatient and so stupid - not a good combination.
