well, if that is the case, the are franking awful at it and we are in a way bigger mess than anyone could comprehend.

even though we are short of centers i'd look for a hockey trade involving Frost and hang on to Farabee. I just don't think Frost plays with the intensity and tenacity that a player his size needs to play with. he is too lackadaisical. and when you're not putting up points or playing competitively then having all the skill in the world doesn't matter.
you also NEED to move laughton. look into moving Risto now or at the deadline. stay away from the Staals and Deslauriers. |

wouldn't I have a reason to be?
but I just don't look at it like the sky is falling. I criticize them when it's warranted. whining about these nothing signings takes up your whole day, every day. |

flyers usual they overpay on bottom tier talent. the next month gonna be entertianing. - hello it's me 2050
Yea, Konecny 10x8 will be another anchor. Hopefully he will last longer than Couturier. |

yeah, but lets be real here - OT doesn't count
 - Flyfly
But if it did, the only defenseman I would like to see out there are Zamula, Drysdale and York.
The only center I want to see out there is Frost. The wingers give them the best chance to win.

Well the GM could make a change to the coach to help with this?

But seriously, DB has no power in the org. He's there because he looks like a 20 year old kid and represents change while the old guard Torts/Jones keep the Flyers traditions alive.
Does anyone think that if DB tried to overrule Torts/Jones the org would support him? Not a chance.

nothing signings are part of the reason this incompetent organization is in the shape they are in.

- who is going to trade for RR coming off an injury? hell even at the deadline. probably some teams as he is built for playoff hockey.
- I bet you're ok with them bringing back Johnson right?
- what kind of hockey trade do you think you can make with frost? |

EF mentioned there was interest in Risto but didn't name teams - said if anything happens it would be the offseason
I wouldn't be crazy about EJ but if it's not Staal, it's one million/one year and he sits more than he plays i'm not gonna look for a bridge to jump off. depends on if anything happens with Risto. But if Risto is on the roster and ready to play when the season starts I'd say no to EJ. I want kids to play but you need bodies and there will be injuries. With York, Drysdale and Zamula there's plenty of youth. rotate the others in and see who sticks. the question is will the flyers sign him to make trading that 4th look better or will they just move on? i don't know the answer to this.
i'd revisit frost for pinto. i'd also consider packaging him with the late first to move up. |

At the trade deadline.
These guys are not cornerstone players. They should have been moved at the trade deadline or this offseason. - J35Bacher
The Flyers traded Walker and got full value only because he was on an expiring contract and proved he can not only stay healthy but play well. TK for example is a different story. Not every playoff team can fit 5.5 million mid season. TK is an offseason deal, especially if he’s up for an extension. |

Frost will always be a player that leaves you wanting more. I don’t think he’s worth much in a trade so you are better off keeping him. |

what pick do they need to move up to to get a top player? - bradster
To get one of the top defensemen they’ll likely need to get to 7 or higher. Seattle is taking one of the defenseman at 8. |

Friedman saying Buffalo 11 in play for top 6 forward. If they do the dumb thing an extend Konecny, would you offer Farabee?
Just a question. I actually like Farabee but curious what others think. - J35Bacher
I’d strongly consider it. But there’s a possibility that they’d be trading him just to draft 2 more wingers at 11 & 12. If Catton and Helenius go in the top 10 then you’d be taking Eiserman and either Sennecke or Iginla as BPA.
If it worked out that they could trade Farabee for #11 and get Catton or Helenius and then Eiserman at #12, I’d be happy with that. But I really want them to use their assets to get one of the top defensemen. |

Im open to trading anyone, but not sure what #11 gets you. Is #11 projected to be a 1st line player? Or top 6, top 4 ? We need 1st line players - bradster
Likely top 6. This is not the draft to get a 1C, that’s next year. Helenius or Catton might end up being strong 2Cs, which the Flyers also need. A guy like Eiserman could be a 1st liner but comes with some risk. I’m fine with Eiserman at 12. |

If the Flyers actually rebuilt and planned for 3,4 years down the road, they would have no issues bring in a free agents when ready. - J35Bacher
Exactly, Vegas has had no issues signing players despite treating their roster like it’s a video game. |

We may have seen his full potential the past 2 seasons. 2022-23 second half was his top end but it didn’t last past that. Last year was a step back. I hope he has a nice bounce back season this coming year. Inconsistency and intensity are my biggest concerns.
I’m still holding out hope he finds his way because this team can’t keep missing out on developing 1 round picks. |

Bill, do you think the Flyers would have any interest in trading for Easton Cowan if the Leafs took offers? Seems he and Denver Barkey have become a very good penalty killing duo from what I’ve read. I see he’s listed as a Center and LW so it seems like he’d be a great piece to target in that he fills a need and is already playing great with one of our other prospects. |

I don't see it as a step back. The bumhole coach had to jerk him around again. Put him in the lineup and leave him there. Give him ice time with offensive talent. I think he can be a 55 point 2C if he reaches his potential.

On a bad team with zero center depth. Any good team he’s not a 2C. He’s inconsistent and severely lacks drive. For all the talk of his speed he rarely uses it. |

I disagree. Stating that he lacks drive with all of the available evidence is completely asinine. Unless of course you have some other objective. |
