Racking up playoff points with assists is great, disappearing in round 2 or when the game gets too physical is not and thusfar that's been Marner's MO. Sorry to speak the truth - you can post that he has more playoff points than whomever you want most who watch the games feel his playoff performances have not been good enough based on his salary.

Marner is suppose to distribute the puck. He got paid $11m for his assist totals, not goals.

Matthews makes his money with his wicked shot and being a 200ft power center that scores goals.

If you don't get a pass because No Nuts Mitch is curling away and losing the puck, or shooting over the glass, kinda can't shoot.

If you get double teamed all the time because the whole league knows your partner is a beeyotch, hard to get a shot off.

It's exactly why Bert, Matthews and Domi worked well as a line.

Domi and Bert = 2g, 6a = $8.5M

Marner = 1g, 3a = $11m

I remember him mostly from SNL, his standup, and his regular talk show appearances. Was never a fan, but enjoyed some of his SNL skits.
