When I try to quote Wedgie's record tour post it just leaves a blank. But thanks Wedgie, it looks cool!

Anybody ever hang out in Nashville? Gf has a work thing there later this year so I could get four days of free hotel and food if I fly there, and apparently airfare to there isn't very Spencer For Hire. - Zezel
walk around downtown, get an eyeful for the spank bank, use that to ravage the old lady in the hotel room then use that collateral to do whatever the (frank) you want on your own for the rest of the time 👊 |

Man, you gotta fire up a doober and put on some classic Willie Nelson. - Zezel
Mad respect for Willie and some old-school country folk as artists and musicians. They're music just isn't for me.
I have learned to tolerate some southern rock in small doses, like Skynyrd - just through exposure therapy of being subjected to it so often down here in southern Trumpistan.
I am a simple kind of man afterall...

Everybody's got their genres they just can't get into. I'm like that with southern rock too, or Michigan rock. I like a little taste now and again but I don't seek it out.

How so the bolded part?
Yeah - Zezel
Regressive tax system (no state income tax, high sales tax disproportionately hurts poor people).
LGTBQ+ rights are being stripped.
Abortion banned. Legislation introduced to make it a crime to help someone get an abortion (like drive them there).
Expelled two Black legislators from State Assembly because they called for gun restrictions after a mass murder at a school.
I could go on and on and on...
Nashville itself is progressive. The rest of the state is a gun-totin', god-fearin' hell hole. |

I imagine drinking beer and listening to country music would evoke the same kind of mood I get in when I drink whiskey and listen to Roy Orbison. It's not something I do often and I have to be in a certain kind of mood to indulge it - nostalgic and wistful, but also kinda dark and depressive.

100% this, especially the bolded part.
Just one of my many opinions today, take it with a block of salt. I'm glad their team is doing well. I am pleasantly surprised that hockey took there. Kinda like Florida in general. At first glance, hockey doesn't work there, but then it kinda does. |

Yeah that sounds (frank)ed up.
You'd think the anti-abortion legislators would also be eager to introduce new benefits and breaks for mothers to support young families but shockingly that doesn't seem to be the case.

A lot of Canadians are generally weird about southern markets.
I don't understand why they hope that Florida and Nashville and Phoenix fail at hockey.
If you love the game, don't you want to see it grow?
Having said that, if Bettman adds a 33rd team I will lose my poop. I can be very OCD about symmetry - especially with numbers, and 32 right now is the perfect number. |

Hockey in Florida actually makes a tiny sliver more sense than someplace like Nashville. Florida has a ton of transplants and retirees. I saw a dude walking around in a Habs jersey at the outlet mall a few months back. Saw another guy in a Pens jersey in a Target not long ago. It seems like half of Floridians are from somewhere else originally.
Nobody migrates to Nashville, so I wouldn't expect as many Canadian or yankee locals living around there compared to someplace like south Florida. |

I resent that expansion teams have won the Cup since 1967, but I don't root for their failure. Gives me something to talk about with Americans. |

Years ago, I was walking through a mall in Southern California.
There was a scalper there who could get really good concert tickets.
I was waiting to get some Van Halen tickets from him, and the guy in front of me had a Habs jersey.
I also had a terrible breakfast that trip at All-American Burger. Pissy employee wouldn't give me my money back, even though the sign said "Money-Back Guarantee."

One thing to consider in the likelihood that the Core 4 stays next year.
Can we try Marner as 2C and JT as 3C?
Marner should be able to play center. He did in Junior, he's very good defensively and reads the game at a high level. He lacks physicality and likely faceoff prowess, but those can be worked on.
Knies Matthews Whomever
Whomever Marner Nylander
Holmberg Tavares Whomever
Whomever Kampf Reaves - gravyface
The biggest mistake they ever made was not play Marner at C.
Completely agree, he should play C. He has been alright at FOs in the few he has taken before. That's usually something that can be worked upon in practice.
That being said, Tavares wins FOs but is not a shutdown 3rd line C. I don't see him being useful in that role. If he's going to cost you 11 AAV, he has to score goals and points. I'd rather see him as the LW on the top line before seeing him as the 3C.
I'd be looking at something like this if Tavares can't be moved.
Tavares | Matthews | Marner
Knies | Domi | Nylander
Joshua | Lafferty | Clutterbuck
McMann | Carrick | Perry
You bring in more size and bite to the lineup while keeping Domi. Joshua can score a bit with a bigger body, good two-way game. Lafferty was a solid player, should bring him back. Clutterbuck is a great crash and banger. Carrick is a solid 4C pest and Perry is a great veteran to add to the mix.
Rielly | Pesce
OEL | DeMelo
Benoit | Rutta
Pesce and DeMelo, both solid top 4 RHD. OEL helps provide offensive power on the PP especially with his goal scoring ability on the man advantage. Try to swap Liljegren for Rutta. Brings in another reliable RHD with playoff experience. Could move Robertson to SJS too.
Thompson | Woll
Try to pry Thompson out of Vegas. Otherwise, bring in a cheap 1A to split time with Woll. Next year, when Tavares is gone, you allocate more AAV to the goaltending position.

There was an offer that the Canucks did make, I believe it was [$4.5 million] over four, five years,” said Gaffar on an episode of the Rink Wide podcast. “The Zadorov camp did turn that one down.” |

when you read an article about this or that city being “romantic” you’ll notice that they’re written by women.👍
nice meal with wine, music, dancing yadda yadda the thing the thing🤦🏿♂️
the reason they think this is romantic is because, statistically, there’s more high class ass in a big city like Paris, rome, prauge, new york etc and the old pervert she’s with gets an eyeful all day, starting with some bullpoop tour she’s laid on and deviant thoughts reemerge.😈
by the end of the day the old pervert, his game long since dead, is filled with a primal urge to stick it in a hole so his old lady is the beneficiary of this depravity🤦♂️
I’m only speaking from my experience all over europe and North America👍🏿
russia was a little different because i went solo so i walked around in moscow and Stalingrad and side eyed the tail there and went back to my hiltons and beat my Richard like it owed me money😭
i would imagine that the kgb has video of me shaking hands with the unemployed🤦🏿♂️
what a (frank)ing joke🤦♂️
edit: nice alliteration👍🏿 |

Panthers were a 92 point team that went to the Cup Final. Blues had 99.
Would you rather a 120 point 1st round exit?
That team, on paper, is significantly better in multiple areas than last year especially considering the coaching style change that is incoming. |

109 is the average points of the last 5 winners. and 110 is the average of the 4 teams still playing.
i dont think being bubble team and then getting lucky and going on a run is a good strategy

Yikes. So the strategy is to bring in Perry/Carrick who were both scratches in playoffs? Bring back Lafferty (also a scratch these playoffs) who proved it was the right decision to not have him on the roster. A broken Clutterbuck? On defence OEL and Rutta?
Jesus - thank god for Leafs fans this is a fantasy site where nobody ever comes close to getting off-season moves correct.
A 90Pt team. |
