He's already involved with the team. He has coaching experience. He has immense respect from the players and fanbase.

Ok, it's a risky move. He's never coached at the NHL level. But, has coached the minors and was an assistant for the Marlies. He's not just a pee wee coach like Marty St. Louis when he got the Montreal job.

Give him this coming season to demonstrate his coaching chops. If it doesn't pan out, you jettison a core member after Tavares/Marner's contracts are up and hire one of the same old names we keep hearing again and again.

It was worthy of two responses - You clearly have never been to Etobicoke. There is a nice pockets but also in the northern and western limits of Etobicoke specifically - not so nice. There is also Mimico and Lakeshore which is a mixed bag of nuts.

It’s incredibly simple. This team isn’t built properly aroind their two start players, Auston and Mitch. It just isn’t. Domi and Bert is a good start, but they need a lot more of that. They haven’t drafted well, with the exception of Knies.

This is 100% on Shanahan. And since they didn’t sack his ass, it’s now on ownership. And since there’s no single owner we can point at, it is what it is and this team will never do what needs to be done.

The only reason the leafs haven’t done better in playoffs is because of the 3 men in front of the cameras this morning. They have known the weaknesses of this team for years and have failed to address them. And then, to satisfy the appetite of the fans and medias for someone to blame, they sacrificed Keefe. Leafs management is an embarrassment!! Too corporate!!! The first mistake they made was to sign JT!!! They were desperate, the three other core players were young and JT would take them to the promise land immediately, Mistake!!! Money should have been spent on goaltending and defence, they would have won a cup by now and be contending every year. Now it’s MM that is going to be the next sacrifice, a very talented player that needed to be surrounded by the right type of players. Management failed, short and sweet! I wouldn’t give up on MM, but would ship JT ( if he agrees ) far far away. Give this team back to the youth, get the goalie and D players, it’s not too late!
