Probably. Most of us were so wrong on Lavi. Hopefully he finishes this job this year.

Vince was on with the Sirius morning guys and he said that Chytil is MEDICALLY CLEARED to play and it’s really a question of the right spot to put him in. So you could argue that hasn’t happen yet since they haven’t lost or had trouble scoring

Problem ain't the coach. It's the roster construction and, specifically, the fact that they absolutely refuse to lean into the thing they're actually good at.

Every year they trade for more big, slow, dumb guys and it handicaps their ability to create offense.

Their D is definitely a problem that doesn’t get enough criticism where they either can’t move the puck very well, or are just slow guys/not mobile enough (ie-canes and rangers are light year ahead of them)

in 1984 when Ken Morrow overtime goal beat the Rangers, there is a video after the game of Dave Maloney absolutely crying his eyes out about losing to the Islanders yet again, inconsolable

I watched John Tavares being interviewed after losing to the Bruins, yet again and he was like meh, whatever

Toronto bumped their presser with Pelley Shanahan and Treliving from today to Friday back on like Tuesday, that seemed like something was up. They are probably hoping to announce Berube tomorrow is my guess and needed to buy more time.

Also announcing the three of them being there at the presser pretty much sealed it that Shanahan wasn't going anywhere, so Keefe was almost a guarantee to be fired.

Not sure they really need to add offense to that roster as it's constructed, they simply need to get better playoff production from their four 11+ mill/year forwards. Nylander is the only one who consistently shows up in the playoffs, Matthews is hit and miss, Marner is the obvious problem. Tavares too, but he's old and slow so at least he's got a small excuse. Reilly was bad too.

Their team defense was the best it's ever been in their last 3 games, but they do probably need a more mobile puck-moving defenseman or two back there.

Superstar is a little generous I think. He was really good. Still is pretty good. Definitely goes full pants down at the urinal and thinks ketchup is spicy
