Oh cool, I bet he was.

How about Faith, was she there too?

- pete26

She wasn't, he did a duet with her but it was pre-recorded, same thing with Taylor Swift and Nelly

I think the Flyers are going to have to make an organizational decision on what they really want to do. They seem to be in the same position the Habs were for years... perhaps good enough to make the playoffs, but not really that good of a team overall. Resulting in them getting mid-round picks and not building up prospect pool.

Maybe they get lucky in the draft, maybe they get lucky with UFA.

So unless (when) you decide rebuilding is more important than maybe making the playoffs, you likely keep Torts for the short-term.

- Mashadar

They still have a pretty good young core, add Michkov and Bonk and they are automatically better, their center line still kinda sucks. They should go after Monahan

Coaching news out of Winnipeg this morning. It’s expected
@NHLJets
Head Coach Rick Bowness will announce his retirement today. Bowness has coached over 2600 games in the NHL and is a Jack Adams Award finalist for the first time. Great man. Great career.

They don't have enough strong core pieces to be contenders.

Even with Michkov, who might take some time before becoming a star.

I'm not gonna laugh the idea because sometimes, Boisvert does think outside the box and ends up being right.

But considering the young man's previous antics, I'd be shocked if a team goes and picks him with a top 10 pick. Not worth the risk.

Probably but they don't have not enough either. I would try to ride things out if I were them, try to pull a St-Louis blues. Even if you rebuild there's a good chance you end up like the Oilers and the Leafs.

So now that you fake switched teams, you brought the playoff jinx on them ?

Fingers crossed

UFA-2024

it would seem Monahan has fallen quite a bit lol... 2.9M for 3 years wouldn't be a turrible deal though.

I read an article (AllHabs??) said that he's stated that he won't resign with the Habs and wants to play for a contender. Not sure how reliable those articles are?? Better chance he resigns in Winnipeg i think.

Well he said he wanted to win. So yeah, his priority is most likely going to a team that has a chance of winning.

But after we draft Celebrini, that's us baby! woo!

I'm a fan, but it is time to move on from Monahan (or thoughts of brining him back)... unless they somehow miraculously also get rid of Anderson and Dvorak first.

McKenzie's Draft Ranking: An 'unpredictable ride' after Celebrini

1. Macklin Celebrini
2. Ivan Demidov
3. Anton Silayev
4. Artyom Levshunov
5. Cayden Lindstrom
6. Sam Richardinson
7. Zayne Parekh
8. Zeev Buium
9. Konsta Helenius
10. Tij Iginla
11. Berkly Catton
12. Carter Yakemchuk
13. Cole Eiserman
14. Beckett Sennecke
15. Trevor Connelly

It would be a misnomer to say there’s no consensus to be found in these rankings.

Demidov, for example, had nine scouts place him firmly amongst the top five prospects in the draft; Silayev, Levshunov and Lindstrom each had eight votes in the top five.

But as you drill down on the numbers, there appears to be a wider divergence of opinion than we usually see within the top five, and the bandwidth between Nos. 6 to 15 appears to be a lot tighter than we’ve seen before.

To wit: Five scouts had Demidov as the No. 2 prospect behind Celebrini but five others — three for Levshunov and two for Silayev — saw it differently.

Six prospects got votes at No. 3 — Silayev (three); Demidov and Lindstrom (two each) and one apiece for Levshunov, Parekh and Helenius.

There were eight — eight! — prospects who got votes in the No. 4 slot — two each for Silayev and Lindstrom and one apiece for Demidov, Levshunov, Parekh, Richardinson, Buium and Yakemchuk.

And seven prospects garnered No. 5 votes — Levshunov (three); Lindstrom (two) and one apiece for Demidov, Richardinson, Sennecke and Yakemchuk.

It was like that all the way through the rest of the top 10 slots — six prospects split the No. 6 votes; seven prospects divvied up the No. 7 votes; six prospects at No. 8; seven at No. 9; and eight at No. 10.

The five prospects ranked from Nos. 11 to 15 “earned” those spots, relative to the 10 ahead of them, but there were some notable asterisks amongst them.

Yakemchuk, for example, is a consensus No. 12 but had two top-five votes; Eiserman slots in at No. 13 but three scouts had him firmly in their top 10; Sennecke is No. 14 but had one top-five vote and two more in the top 10.
