Makes sense and well said. I do wish we would've seen Benny-Krebs-Greenway for a bit. That'd be a pretty tenacious trio.

I just don't see much in Krebs. Very disappointed that he didn't take advantage of the opportunity at the end of the season.

Wonder if Kev will be tough with him or give him a cushy Bryson-type bridge.

Keep building the pipeline while simultaneously trading away prospects...make the playoffs next season. Terry Pegula loves your idea.

Exactly. I'll slow it down for you...

Timeline says they have too many prospects now that are NHL-ready now and over the next near. Supply overloaded vs demand.
Use those assets now to buy proven players. Those players are more expensive, putting a strain on the future ability to remain Cap Compliant.

As it stands now, they have few who will be ready in 3 -- 4 years, they need more. Use your picks to resupply in anticipation of future demands. Players on ELC helps to retain other more expensive players.Timeline fits. Financials fit.

If you like, I can set the font to expand between the letters, while setting the lines to be at 1.75 of single line spacing.

For whatever is said, there's talent on this team, and a lot of it. Bring in the Right Leadership, add Snarl that can play. And get a Coaching staff that can teach these Kids, way to much inexperience on Granato's staff.
- Buff36

Every player that makes the NHL is talented...Rempe would dangle fitz, then beat the breaks off him all w/o breaking a sweat.

The Laffs are more talented, so are the kings.

As for the bolded Buffalo has failed at acquiring this even when Ruff was coaching in Buffalo before. It's a lot to ask from a GM of Adams caliber in one off season.

Who is nhl ready now? Why did Adams need to trade for Eric Robinson with these 1st round picks that are nhl ready?

Your point assumes these prospects work out, reality is exposing this to be false.

It's not what people want to hear, but it's very true.

Still a big question if they have enough high level talent, or just a lot of mid.

I get that, have been calling for it for years. Wanted Crouse 4 years ago when they really had a shot at him.
This team can play Hockey, they need the right players to Lead them into playing good Hockey consistently. Sabres have had skilled players for years, but it takes more than that to win in Hockey. And that's where the Sabres have failed miserable. Not building good players around those skill players.

Agreed, I'm right there with you on this. Ruff looked like a fart away from getting put 6' under at the press conference, him now taking on GM responsibilities and coaching this group to play consistently correct...that's a lot to ask.

The lack of leadership in the current locker room only makes Lindy's coaching job that much more difficult as well.

I believe I said this year and next year
Rosen,
Kulich, at some point
Savoie probably AHL for a year

A full AHL year for any of the 4 would be disappointing.

How do you handle that + playoff expectations? I have no clue. Need a trade.

That's why I think they need strong Assistant Coaches to go with Ruff. Because you are spot on about the on Ice Leadership IMO! Okposo and Girgensons failed Miserably. Seems like the same sh!t has been said by a few on here for awhile. And it seems to be the same Crap that ends the season in Dec.

I think Kulich will be, just not a C IMO. He has a lethal shot, and this might sound weird. But I think he will be better in the NHL then AHL. Kid has it, losing Peca hurt him

I want to see him and the rest take an NHL hit before I even begin to think these kids can play.

And then there's that.

Imo, he is a fourth line player on a good team.

- Powerslave

honestly he is a better all around player than benson was IMO last season

False. Greenway plays soft. This team canโ€™t afford to have its role players not playing their role. I canโ€™t tell you how many times I saw that guy swat at the puck and skate by instead of taking the body. Unless Ruff can fix him, heโ€™s gotta go.

I would hope the 7th year 27 year old is better all around than a rookie 18 year old.

1 guy said he sucks.

Everyone else just doesn't like his usage last year. He shouldn't see the top 6.
