Just pointing out that a very similar pick garnered a hell of a player for us. I would wait until our pick to pull the trigger personally. It isn't a trade or bust situation, depending on who falls.

But going back, if we signed Kane and Duchene, traded a 2nd for Trenin and started the year with that forward group and all our picks/prospects, did we lose out?

Yup, I was his biggest detracter here... But he did it and is doing it when it matters the most.

The interesting thing about the Draft pick vs the Prospects in their D+3 year is that they aren't ready at the same time. Sabres issue is having too many from the same draft class or 1 year apart.

So, they fill a "need" of having guys come up on ELC's when our other guys are becoming too expensive to retain.

The Now D+3 Prospect are all ready this season or next... Too many of them, so Sabres need to decide this offseason and move the ones they don't want

Kevyn spoke on wgr this morning at 9 if anyone cares to listen. Nothing too interesting, two things I'd like to call out. I've said often that Kevyn is pretty easy to read, and tells you things without literally telling you, sometimes.

-11OA is definitely in play, significantly more so than years past. Also certain they don't trade the rights to Celebrini.

-Expressed his confidence in Skinner (dull) but in the same breath said they'll sit down with Lindy and discuss how they make the Sabres a better hockey team (less dull)
