I would personally avoid Mitch Marner at market value.

The fit is poor.

There isn't a realistic scenario that works for Buffalo to take him.

Taking Mitch means offloading all of Jeff and Peterka too.

Then you're gambling on him re-signing a deal, and that deal isn't more than Dahlin.

All for a guy who gets mud stomped in the playoffs every single year.

On top of all that, you still need to fill your gaps on the bottom 6 without signing 6 Mark Jankowskis.
