Anyone else watch the roast of Tom Brady?

Holy poop was that funny.

- ImThatGuy

I laughed so hard at times, I couldn't catch my breath 😂

Andrew Schulz and Nikki Glaser both killed it. Two of the best sets at a roast I've ever seen, and I've seen every one of them.

Schulz's joke about Gronk, headshots, The Kennedy's and "brainless Patriots" was just incredible.

Not discounting what Kucherov did, I still believe it's egregious enough to put an asterisk next to that Cup win. However, it's becoming a joke and Vegas just keeps doing it because the league doesn't have a good way of keeping teams honest. To me, Stone doing this multiple times just puts him in a league of his own but I do get why there's an argument that Kucherov was just as bad.

So I'll qualify: TB and Vegas can both go (frank) themselves.

Alright. I give Toronto a special section too. They really kicked off a lot of this, then Hossa inspired everyone to push things even further.

Yup, LTIR as retirement, without the penalties.

Yeah, that was some poop too. I remember thinking that stunk at the time, but then again, it was one guy, once. I think that's half of my gripe is that this just keeps occurring and because the league is scared to call bullpoop on players they're just letting it slide. The big worry is that in 3-5 years we have 3-4 teams that can spend 50-100m over the cap and we only see guys traded who are willing to go on LTIR from the TDL to playoffs. Some may laugh and think it's outlandish, but we're already starting to see signs with guys like Timo this year.

Wonder if that could be the death of our game, it's that serious IMHO.

While he isn't the style of player we are clamoring for, getting a guy the caliber of Catton at 11 would be like getting another Benson. Gift horse in the mouth stuff.

I wish you could easily recall posts here. I said this weeks ago about how the talk would be if we got xxxx at where we draft it’ll be the steal of the draft.

There's a lot of healthy players sitting out seasons on LTIR. No secret there.

I think fans care more about the abuse than the NHL or NHLPA. I do think the NHL would like to do something about it, I just don't think they want to fight for it in the next CBA. More money for players overall, NHLPA isn't going to simply let it go.

It's very easy to carry that line of discussion. Drafting at 11, there's probably like 15 "steals", subjectively speaking.

It's lazy.

"Steals" are usually short.

Then everyone gets their d1ck in a blender when we draft one "short" guy who's really (frank)ing talented but he's not 6'4"

Ugh, I really want to be there right now. Sitting here trying to reteach myself VBA and struggling when I should be sipping some fruity drink with a little umbrella in it.

It's a sad day for all mankind.

It's a safer bet they drafted a 4' 6" guy in before they went that route.

Couture has 3 years left on his deal at $8M per and he just turned 35.

Still interested?

Would be a PWWTBH. Die hard bills fan so he would want to get all the access being a member of the One Buffalo thing will get him. Also from London so 2 hrs away.

Maybe send Skinner the opposite way.

He would probably like the chance to never play playoff games and live the California girls lifestyle.

He’s a 90 point player and nearly a ppg playoff guy?

That 10m cap hit though.

Not sure how you are moving your roster to fit that.

- ImThatGuy

Skinner would love to play for Toronto. Salary basically a wash.
