You subscribe to the theory that the goalie not stopping more is why they are losing.

I subscribe to the theory of they need to score more than 2 goals if they want to win like every other team that has won a playoff game this year so far has done in every single win.

If the Leafs. had a great goalie do you actually honestly believe that the Leafs would have won games scoring 2 goals?

I mean you’re entitled to believe that but no other team is doing it this year so far so I’m not sure it makes much sense.

I’ll pile on the goaltending being the problem when they lose close games due to soft goals after they score 3 or more goals.

Until then it’s a lack of scoring to me that is the biggest issue.

They’ve sucked, I don’t deny that, but that doesn’t excuse the goalie, if anything he needs to bear down even more because he knows they’re going to have to win a low scoring game.

The leafs though. Marner coming off a high ankle sprain, Willy with debilitating migraines and Matthews gets food poisoning after single-handedly carrying them to a win.

It doesn’t get any leafier than that.

Every year I make excuses for the boys but this might be the first year that they legitimately have one. Willy hasn’t played, Marner is labouring and Matthews is as sick as a dog.

Sammy has been meh. Brodie killed him last game but still, he's been weak.

Core 4 have outright sucked.
