You keep harping on goaltending like it’s why they are losing.
It’s not. - Cush29
Cush I know you consider yourself to be part of the brotherhood of goalies, but making excuses for the goaltending is no different than making excuses for the rest of the team.
Their goalie lets in one while ours lets in three on fewer shots and chances.

Sammy hasn't been exceptional, but hard to fault him on a couple last night. The one where TJ's stick was being held was an easy goal. The PP goal by Marchand was weak coverage. Leafs power play has been brutal. Unwillingness to drive the net. Get the puck and rather than pass it for an almost certain pick off in the corner, run it straight at the goalie. If it doesn't go in, no big deal. At the very least make Swayman feel like poop for a while. Rinse and repeat. The 11 shots on goal in the first two periods by the Leafs is inexcusable. Of those 11 shots, at least 8 were either crap perimeter shots or dribblers along the ice. Lift the (frank)en puck up.

Im not making excuses though and sure it would be great to have a superstar goalie but the Leafs have 5 M tied up in 3 goalies and 40M in 4 forwards who are paid to score.
I think it’s pretty obvious which of those 2 groups is underperforming horrifically.
Of the guys paid to score were doing so at the rate they have shown they can and / are paid to the goaltending the Leafs have got so far would be enough to have them winning this series.

Not making excuses for anyone really. But we’re not giving up more than 25 shots a game, it would be nice not to have to score 4 or more to win. The Bruins are a low scoring team, a save percentage above.875 isn’t too much to ask for.

The PP being so abysmal is baffling considering the offensive pedigree this team has.
Being on the road will help. Austin can use uberEats to get his Kraft Dinner fix. Marner can walk around downtown Boston anonymously. People will think he's just some weakling high-school kid. Pressure is off.
It won't work so well, if he does that. He might be put on the 4th line with no powerplay time. His numbers would be diminished and his new contract would be less. He'd be smart to take the trade and sign a new larger contract. - PrinceLH
That's just not gonna happen
Can't justify spending that much for 4th line and other players will see wuts going on.
The leafs though. Marner coming off a high ankle sprain, Willy with debilitating migraines and Matthews gets food poisoning after single-handedly carrying them to a win.

It doesn’t get any leafier than that. - shack67
We are living in a simulation programmed by a Leafs hater. Obviously.

How many times can I say this in a different way? They are scoring 2 or less in games they lose - that doesn’t win in playoffs.
How many games this playoff round have been won by a team scoring 2 or less?
Pine for a better goalie all you want, if they can’t score more than 2 they aren’t winning no matter who is in net.
