And that's what would have happened to the Flyers. |

Have to understand the NHL salary structure. They're all RFA players. As far as recently given out. Ehlers signed his deal in 2017. It's 2024. Konency has UFA leverage. None of those deals are comparables for Konecny. Konecny and his agent would laugh at a 6.5-7M offer. - MJL
JT Miller signed a 7 year deal last year for $8m cap hit. Coming off a 99pt season. In what world is Konecny having never even reached 70pts worth more than that? |

Ok, if you believe that then agree to disagree. And I hope you are right too. - MBFlyerfan
I don’t think he’ll sign for that little to be clear. That’s just his value. Flyers will surely overpay, just look at the Seeler deal. If they give him $8m+ they’ll just be handcuffing themselves for the future. They need to trade him this summer. |

I already said it...they prolly win a couple of Cups! - Phillywhiteout
Don’t forget that they would be contending with a Rangers team with Messier and TOP LINDROSS for the time. |

In a world where he has UFA leverage and can say pay more or I walk after next season. Miller signed his deal two years ago. Salaries inflate. I personally don't think he gets 9M. I see it in the 8-8.5M range,

A players value is determined by what he can sign for.

What a joke of a team Toronto is! Tavares is a born loser. Matthews decides he too sick to play, way to tough it out for the team kid! And Marner is an absolute no show. There is talk he will be available after yet another first round loss to the Bruins, and if so I sincerely hope the Flyers want nothing to do with him. Marner is soft! There is a difference between regular season hockey and playoff hockey, and Marner can put up points in the regular season, but come playoff time, he is an absolute cream puff. Even Nylander is calling Marner out on the bench. I say the Flyers need to steer well clear of Marner. |

Who needs a 30-goal 90-point player when you have an all-around talent like tk?
Is it possible that Boston and sub par defensemen like McAvoy are good at shutting players down? |
