Anything tickling your fancy?
- mr.peanut

i have 2 sucker bets in so far. 6 way parlays. very little chance of making a dollar there.

but i feel like the rangers game tonight is where the dollars might be hiding.

he did make me a buck the other night when they ran a special promo where they bumped up the payout if you took mika to record a point.

i wonder how many high rollers took them up on that promo and won hundreds of dollars.

i mean look at this poop. there was nothing really tempting to take so i had to dig and do research for things that could maybe happen and try to build big parlays lol.

Maybe Ny’ander?
- WaterBoy

$11,500,000 for 8 years? ... no thanks.

That doesn't fit in the salary structure HuGo are putting in place ... win first THEN you'll get paid ... not the other way around like they did in Toronto.

At that price, I'd rather have 2 good players at 6 mil each that show up in the playoffs.

Second one might be good. VAN might have to start their 3rd string

Can't wait for the insightful answers to this

Mat,hews is obviously talented, but Ny'ander isn't bad at all either. things were getting pretty rough for Ma;ner in this series but hopefully he'll get his poop together and help the team try to come back.

not saying he and Marner aren't good players, but definitively not what we are looking for.

I think Tav"res hasn't played the last two games, so I don't think there's much he can say in the room

Tav"res has carved himself a nice little career. Put up numbers and got paid. However, when the knock on you in junior is your skating, the decline after 30 is brutal.

Watch every PP when he brings the puck in on the left side... he gets stopped every time

yeah and you'd think this team has the right personnel on the ice to have a legit decent PP, kinda makes me think about PIT having one of the worst powerplays in the league this year despite having a poop ton of offensively gifted players.

Guy Boucher might not be the best guy to run the PP after all lol...

Boucher's coaching career has been plagued by him not knowing he isn't the smartest guy in every room he walks into. Gets fired because he won't adapt, because adaptation is admitting you weren't right. They've been doing the drop pass entries all year... easy to scout.

Also, they were like 50% in Feb. Reilly suspended and Tav"res was hurt. The changes worked, but my leafs fan friend told me Keefe HATES liljegren and adores Reilly. So when Reilly came back he was gift wrapped his spot back on pp1

They would need to wake him up first ... the guy is as much a captain as I am a vegetarian cat.

sounds about right concerning Boucher lol.

I think at this point though it's up to the players to make things happen on the ice, the powerplay is a perfect time to get creative and put their skills to work, of course you can agree on a certain strategy and structure but they need to rely on instincts to have chemistry and be more unpredictable. the importance of PP coaches in the NHL is a bit overrated imho.

and if they lose in the 1st around again there's no way Keefe is back, in fact I'd expect a major management overhaul... I know they've probably been talking about this for years already in TOR but logically the time has come for significant changes. not sure if they can make some major trades and keep the team competitive, or if they can only blow it up and start all over, but poop needs to happen lol.

He's probably cleaning out his office as we speak ... he's a Dubas guy, Treliving will probably want to bring in his own guy.

can't say, I'm not in their locker room and I don't follow the team closely enough to tell how good/bad his leadership skills are.

when I look at that organization I'd tend to put the majority of the blame for all the failures on management and ownership, it's because of them if the team is so unbalanced and has such a hard time being successful in the post-season, year after year.

he probably should've done that when he was hired and not wait until now. I'm curious to see who they'll be looking at for a replacement.
