Here’s the Rangers scouting report on Rempe.  Dec. 21, 2021 by director of player development Jed Ortmeyer on Rempe, who was then 19 and in the midst of his second season in the WHL after having been selected 165th overall in the 2020 draft.
“He’s having a tough time with the officiating,” Ortmeyer said. “It seems like every time he hits somebody it’s been a penalty or suspension. It’s been a challenge to keep him playing the same way and understanding that being physical and playing on that edge are going to be staples of his game while avoiding suspensions and staying out of the box.
“When he’s playing, he’s a power-play net front, he has an impact on the game and his coaches are very happy with his leadership qualities and work ethic. It’s almost to a fault he’s the first one on and the last one to leave the ice every day. Hes a kid we’re really excited about

He's had a target on his back since day one. If Lady Byng Gretz and "I hate the Rangers but love a good hit" Biz thought it was okay, then we know the refs are out to get him. The hit might have been a tad late but it was clean.

No real bangers in Carolina that I remember so I'd have no problem with him sitting game one for Phil but he needs to be in this series until the end

Key had Dowd in a choke hold for a decent amount of time and then Dowd kinda freaked out for the extra 2. I thought it was the right call.

I love Rempe, but that can’t risk anything vs the canes. He can’t breathe on a guy without getting a penalty. I think JBrod should enter the lineup then because of his speed. At this point I might sit Wennberg and Rempe that series (assuming Chytil is ready then)

I know Roslovic shouldn’t leave the lineup, he’s been really good
