They can definitely win this series without him, not so sure about other series. Should have rested him when we had the chance. - neem55
He was hurt, he rehabbed and came back when he/team felt ready. Reaggravating an injury can happen. If he wasn't ready, he wouldn't have played, no one forced him. Stop acting like you're on the training staff and you know what's right and wrong. But I agree, they can absolutely win this series with DeSmith and Silovs. |

Tocchet says it is a new injury, that occurred during game 1, Squire showed 3 or 4 highlights showing where he may have been Injured.
Not sure how giving him extra rest at end of season could have helped prevent the injury.
Boys need to play hard, hopefully Pouty can start helping out on the offensive side. Team will be fine |

Resting important players in meaningless games is just what good teams do. Go check how many playoff starters played the last game of the year. Don't need to be training staff to make easy decisions like not playing guys in meaningless games. Literally all teams in all of Sports do it.

Rest/Recovery is literally the number one thing you can do to prevent injury
Go talk to any physiotherapist or trainer. |

Demko not on ice for game-day optional skate. Odd that he’s not taking starter’s routine. And he didn’t practise Monday. May mean something, maybe not. We’ll soon find out. - VANTEL
(frank)ing canucks. This probably had something to do with it.

That's the most obvious, yet retarded comment I've ever read. Should we have just rested him all season? Any good physiotherapist or trainer knows, if you don't do anything you'll never get hurt.

I guess it's fair to question the Silov's call up now. Was that a hint of where their confidence was with Demko's recovery? Abby in a fight for home ice advantage and Silov's gets called up to be on a taxi squad... |

If I put on my conspiracy cap, I’d guess that Demko got injured when rehabbing from the knee injury.
Silovs was ebug just in case. And now Demko can’t go for game 2, Silovs is the backup. |

They also know rest and recovery prevents injury for peak performance athletes.
- neem55
He got rest and he was cleared and he needed to test himself to be on top of his game. You can debate whether he was fully recovered or not, but athletes push themselves and practice all the time to be their best. |

I agree. I think it seems like there was a mistake made here, that's all I'm really pointing out. Whether it was by him or the staff.
