The Sabres are like texting, Lindy has learned that answering machines aren't used anymore...playoffs

I am OK with them bringing back Lindy to coach. However, my biggest concern is that Ruff only has 2 years left on his contract. Pegula/Adams need to extend him ASAP!

Who would've thought that a professional organization needs to be managed just like a toddler, lets see how that plays out.

Ruff sits guys, who is he going to play? Rousek?

Its on adams to improve this roster. Something he should have started working on last offseason

Is it me or is it impossible not to love Lindy?

at least Lindy will terrorize Toronto again...

Over 4 seasons (281 games) coaching the NJD, he has a 3-6 record against the Leafs. 25 goals scored for and 37 goals against.

People try to forget Mike Weber.
Michael Peca was loved by all and admired for the stance he took with Cheap Darcy.. he was a living folk-hero around these parts
Lindy played and coaches for the team and was very, very well liked by 99% of the fan base. At the end people turned on him for the sake of change.. they really wanted Darcy gone, but Darcy fired him instead.

Nobody is crying for Smelik to return in any capacity. Most people are in the same lane... iMO of course.

This sounds emotional and not a logical reason why he should return. Which you know is the answer I was looking for.

I want to state that I'm not for, nor against Mike Peca being on the bench. I'm just begging for people to stop demanding a coach come back that has literally no base line of success.

That was for the Devils and therefore does not count.

Was happy to hear an emphatic "adding" and a full embrace of using analytics to see what and who is working. I understand maybe giving a pair a couple games, but to drag something horrid out like 7-8 games is just absurd. If we can see it with our eye test, so can they.

"we start right now" fwiw

there must not be any semblance of "running it bacK', because holy poop.

I get the core players stay, but there's a lot of room for trades and UFA at the bottom third of the roster.

Lindy is respected, might have some choices if he wants to go away from the usual that's with him. Read somewhere he said he's getting a lot of calls

Very True, but I am a bit more excited with the Team then I have been. But it's not just the coaching that will take us to the Promised Land, Adams has to finish his Roster right.

The Blues' EVD improved under Weber. But I'm not hearing anyone demand his return.

I was also happy to hear that he's going to place the assistants in their proper places, as in "Matt Ellis will not be on my bench"

A guy like that will have a big pond to fish from.

Donnie? Ralph? Phil? Yeah there's not a commanding respect for those men to join their staffs.

Somewhat for sure. Moreso that I admire his moxy and leadership as a way to mentor the young guys. Not because he was Buffalo, but because of those attributes and how he played the game... Not so much who he played for.
