It was a miracle we were winning 3-0 in the first place. They just decided to stop playing completely and turtle shelled the rest of the game.

Every single person posting here saw it coming from a mile away. I’m not even as mad about it as I should be.

I’ve been indifferent to this team the entire season because what we witnessed tonight has been this team for a while now. With that said even I’m shocked at how that one ended. 😆

Single A tee-ball vs. the NY Yankees.

Question is do we make it to OT or does Carolina win in regulation

I was completely serious when I said this a few minutes before they tied it. It actually makes you angrier when you expect the worst and it actually happens....

Not going to lie my mind is still blown at how terrible that loss was. This entire team should be eradicated down to the studs for it, no survivors. 😂

Really? Why would you waste your energy and increase your stress with this team?? I knew they were done when they had no push back in the second. It’s easier just accepting they suck.

They took their foot off the gas in the 2nd and 3rd periods. I’ve been waiting for someone to lay those big “Steve Webb” hits but it never happened. 12 shots on goal is a joke. Barzal only on the scoresheet for taking taking 2 penalties 👎🏻

Agreed but they didn’t even put up a fight after they scored that 3rd goal. I can’t even believe it took the canes that long to finish them off. Then they got upset when the canes scored the fifth unanswered goal. That’s hysterical.

The entire defense core was pathetic. Once their strength, is so weak now. Every fuking one of them. Blow it up.

It’ll be better when mayfield gets back next year, and the year after that, and the year after that, and the year after that, and the year after that, and the year after that.

They have lost some tough games this year but that was a next level kick in the Richard

But they've done just as bad several times. They've blown something like 20+ third period leads this year. They asked Lambert just a few weeks in if he was concerned about the 'trend' of blown late game leads.
Unfortunately, it stopped being a trend months ago and became part of their identity. It's no longer a coachable issue. This a repeated characteristic of several guys playing big roles

At this point, I just expect the other team to score as soon as they pull their goalie.

110 shot attempts to 28.

We had no business winning this game. We had one (frank)ing shot in 35 minutes. For a bunch that’s “been through the battles,” how do you let that happen? Remembering some of the cycles in the 3rd period of the Boston and Pittsburgh series’, that team is long gone. I said it like 5 times during the game, you can’t keep just throwing the puck down the ice, not even try to pass and expect to win. And, no one changed that at all. The best player tonight was Kyle MacLean. They’re slow, and the Canes are fast. I hope I’m wrong about this, but we have no chance.

How many icings were there? How many rims up the wall to the canes d? They countered thay in game 1 but the canes looked like the canes in game 2

How scared we looked was jarring. It’s what’s helping me right now. We didn’t deserve it. Well, that and booze.

Gotta wonder if Roy turns to Sorokin for game three.
Obviously Varly was the least of their problems tonight, but he wasn't spectacular either. Perhaps they turn to Sorokin as a Hail Mary....

Can't say that was quite how I expected that one to go.
