Im sure everything we think is probably right about the situation…
Did Chytil have a concussion? Sure.
Did Chytil have a setback in practice that kept him out the rest of the year? Maybe.
Did he need to be kept out all year? Thats what we definitely dont know.
Did the team knowingly take advantage of the situation? Most likely.
This was something I was saying in January, concussions are subjective. Theres no real test to prove whether one does or doesnt have symptoms. With a wink and a handshake Chytil goes and “recovers” while we make some pickups to bolster the squad.

Chytil being healthy has me excited. I’ve been a big fan of his since day 1 and think he could be a huge addition for the playoffs. Any extra bodies u can get for a deep playoff run, the better. Having Roslovic off the bench isn’t a bad thing.

Also, if they knew Chytil would be back for playoffs, could that be a reason Drury wasn’t as aggressive at the deadline knowing he had Chytil in his back pocket the entire time?

I feel fairly certain Chytil wont be in the lineup game 1. Whatever Lav is planning for Chytil, I believe he will take his time doing. Theres this lore of mystery as far as what Chytil has been doing the last 3 months, but what we do know is it wasnt practicing with the guys. So I think Lav will be patient. Also, the schedule sorta works in our favor there also, its a bit more stretched out than I would have thought it would be. Allowing for more time for Chytil to continue to practice with the team.

The crowd will be electric whenever he does play, I don’t think some people understand how important it is to a team to see a guy that’s had an injury/health concern like that come back to the team and play.
