Again, are they a country club organization or is Torts too tough on his players? I can't believe folks are still talking about Clarke on here.
- Phillywhiteout

Clarke will be long passed on and they will still claim he is running the show ...

So easy to understand.

The Flyers for years have blamed their players, and talked non stop about accountability in the locker room, or on the ice.

Have you seen any accountability in the front office in the last decade? Or more specifically after Fletcher was let go?

Trailer park fanbase.

Ahhh I just lurk again a little more as it seems Bill is willing to let some stuff slip here, and there. Was hoping might with the collapse of the season, and press conferences.

Fear not, it won’t be a regular thing.

Oh, so now I apparently live in a trailer! This conversation just keeps getting better and better. Did you watch the games this year? They competed in just about every game until they ran out of gas down the stretch. The accountability off the ice remains in question and we shall see how that plays out, but this team played hard this year.

You can feel free to answer the main question in that post.

Who have the Flyers fired from the front office, or scouting ranks since Hextall, Pryor, and Fletcher were let go. After a decade of utter dogpoop.

Who did they hire to be the president of hockey ops, and the new advisors this off season?

You’re stating it’s not a country club, let me show you.

County club isn't used as a reference to being tough or soft.

The biggest thing that I found encouraging was that DB made it clear that he doesn’t think playoffs next year should be the goal either. Actions will dictate. But at least those words were probably the most encouraging of the day

I’m very encouraged drafting 12th, and having gained assets for only Sean Walker in a “rebuilding year” where playoffs aren’t the goal.

Good thing they aren’t like those Sabres.

right or wrong, and whether we like it or not, they are going to try win with their people. on ice, front office - doesn't matter. that's just the reality. they don't want to win with outside influences, for better or worse.

once you come to terms with that, you can be at peace and just hope they put it together. is that hopeful optimism? absolutely. but I'm not going to voluntarily age myself by b!tching about it everyday on a message board. there are just things out of my control.

It isn't the goal this season either. Until it was the goal later in the season.

Appreciate the response.

You are indeed correct. I’d counter with the idea that they very much are aware of negative perceptions on the team.

Message boards? No. However voices do tend to amplify. Jones has made it a priority to get the beats on the Flyers side. STG has had a drastic tone shift this season. BSH, now PHLY is a lot more “pro” the current regime. He’s been a guest on both.

There are supporters definitely. I am not naive to think there aren’t. I do have a hope that with enough voices, lower ticket sales, etc. We may finally see a change to that country club approach.

This next season? No, but with time - the fans that grew up with men like Clarke. With time, they… age out, and I do mean that with respect.

My optimism lies with time. Until then, (frank) the men who screwed my generations Flyers for their own arrogance, and ego.

Yep - Just like chuckles stating that we are only 5 points out of a playoff spot in January - they are mind-numbingly stupid

they are absolutely going out of their way to control the narrative, i think we all see that. and maybe not you - but others - are cognizant enough to see how they operate, cognizant enough to know that things are likely not changing any time soon, but not smart enough to start following another team. those folks only do damage to themselves, their blood pressure, their mental health, their happiness, and, very likely, their sexual function.

i think we should all go spend some time with our families today

Make no mistake about it their goal is the playoffs next season. No way this team had a chance at game 82 they not going for next season. They can't help themselves.

Think they are going to Ellis-ify Johansen for the year. Dealing with a hip issue. I think they can find a doctor to recommend LTIR and both sides will be happy with that. No buyout

i haven't really looked through the list but I'd be curious who the top face-off guy available is - depending on who stays and who goes, of course

I still see "some" Wings 🪽 fans thinks Torrs pulled Ersson to screw them on social media. 🙊

It had nothing to do with the Red Wings...Torts was sending a message to Ghost. He didn't have control of him to scratch him, so he scratched him for the playoffs.

Torts doesn't just dictate his team, he dictates everyone.

I read this in Illuminati Weekly, sadly it was the fax edition and I had to burn after I read it.
