They don't need more good young players. They have plenty of good. They're not a top team because they lack elite talent. The Flyers have again put themselves in the worst position an NHL team can be. They have to get real fortunate in the draft but that hasn't happened in a long time.

Man have you flip flopped. I argued with you about this point like two offseasons and you told me I was wrong.

First off, and you can go back and find it, I argued for a long time that the Flyers lacked elite talent. That they needed a full tank job to get that elite talent. That still stands true.

But they have some good young players. And they have some picks where they can add some more.

Hopefully Michkov is elite.

But we’ve also seen teams draft at the top and still stink.

Like Buffalo...

Looking at their team, their high draft picks, their prospects...looks pretty exciting.

They are far ahead of the Flyers and even they have 5-6 years before they may be considered contenders. It's highly unlikely they are going to finally make the playoffs then right to the cup. They have years of disappointment before that happens.

Buffalo has supposed to been great for a decade. I’ll reserve judgement there.

I didn’t say I supported what they were doing. I said nothing happened that requires the amount of crying that has happened here.

And for the record, saying no offense doesn’t give you a license to say whatever you want, lol.

EDIT: Additionally, your go to when someone disagrees is personal attacks. And saying things like you just said. I’ve been here since like 2005. I know your act by now.

Twice you criticized others in a manner that seems to suggest you support what the team is doing. Referencing Briere's comments. When you come in like that, especially when I think you're wrong, expect to eat something back.

Additionally, have some self awareness and realize that what you posted. When you post "pretty much all the whining". That's personal.

You're badly mistaken. I've been on the draft and develop bandwagon going back to he Hextall days. That's going back 10 years.

I'd rather have Buffalo's roster than the Flyers.

That was my point. Supposed to was the key. The Flyers would be lucky to be in their spot, yet aren't even close.

The quickest way for the Flyers to bounce back is probably draft a McDavid type player then hopefully hit a gem or two in other rounds that performs above expectations. Then they may start to get on track in the future.

So right now the Flyers are basically 8-10 years away if everything goes good for them. Otherwise that timeline is infinite until they realize they have to change what isn't working to start from zero.

That about sums it up. Many Flyers fans don't realize that they've been rebuilding for 10 years already.

I said wait and see what they say. The comments I referenced had to do with “mishandling” Risto’s injury which turned out not to be the case and Drysdale surgery not being shoulder related at all.

Eat something back. lol, sure. You really gave it back with huge essays of whining about why you think their rebuild won’t work but with zero facts to back up your point except “it’s what they always do”.

I’m going to go back to ignoring you again, have a good night.

Zero facts to support it? When is the last time the Flyers have been a top team? How many times do I have to post that fact before you realize that it's a fact?

You seem to be willing to take the Flyers at their word about injuries while ignoring the numerous times they were not forthcoming. They don't deserve that benefit of the doubt.

Like I said, your posts are full of facts and is definitely not your opinion. LOL

Before holding someone else to a standard. Hold yourself to it.

You don't seem to understand why people complain. They want the Flyers to win the fricken Stanley Cup. They aren't satisfied or fooled by this past BS season.

I’m a Mets, Jets, and Flyers fan. There is no such thing as hope. But nothing happened this year for there to be this much anger.

This is why I hate when people make the argument that tanking doesn’t guarantee success. Endless mediocrity has already shown forever that it doesn’t work, so why not at least try tanking. Either approach requires good drafting. Endless mediocrity requires you to identify players nobody else thinks will be elite.

At least when Homer was GM, like it or not, you knew the strategy. Guy was just going up there swinging for the fences. If Jonesy wants them to be like Vegas, then be like Vegas. If not, tear it down like Sam Hinkie. No half measures.

I don’t buy into anything. But I don’t see why there is pathetic crying by grown men in the forum all day everyday. Bickering like a bunch of children and too blinded by their hatred of the coach to see anything.

What exactly did they do that stunted their growth this year? Did they not acquire another first round pick? Did they not draft Michkov last year? Are they not able to trade TK, Laughton, and anyone else leading up to the draft if they were so inclined? Do they not have two firsts and two seconds this year and next year?

As for Gauthier, how are they to blame? Because they didn’t want to burn a year of his ELC? The kid ghosted them. Ghosted guys like John LeClair and Patrick Sharp. Disrespected the team that drafted him FIFTH OVERALL when they flew halfway around the world to talk to him. He’s a piece of poop. I hope he breaks every bone in his wussy body.

I don’t love every decision they make. I probably would have stripped it all down to the studs. I’ve said that several times. But people here are whining on and on about what they think will happen and nothing that has actually happened outside of Seeler.

- Flyers1218

I am more glass half full than empty myself and would also have taken it down to the studs. As for Gauthier, the flyers just blew it. They spoke to the kid before the draft. He plainly told them he wanted one year in the NC2A. They wanted him to be excited and either said yes or made it seem like they did. They cost him $$$ and he did not want to play for them. It is a professional league and he has the right.

High-end talent is one of our bigger problems and we blew it with a kid we needed.

I believe he was talking about Johansen. You see, someone with self awareness was able to decipher what he was talking about! Chalk one up for me!

Did Jorts mention not practicing 3on3 or is that out of context? Funny, he didn’t practice coaching it this year either.

I spelled his name wrong, Ryan Johansen, the guy they got from Colorado. He thinks he is not fit enough to play
