Just started reading an article by Laz and Powers talking about the rebuild and where it's going as far as next yr. Thought I'd add this paragraph from the piece. ... Your eyes are correct, Hawks have been "good" the last month.

You can't strengthen the IceHogs by sending Foligno...they have to be guys with two-way contracts.

And to dip in on that "Blackhawks had a good month" I think it might have also been in regards to a different way to non playoff teams after they are eliminated, you count their win/ poinrs and do not award the craziest team tanking, but the best one at not tanking after elimination.
The article I read had the Hawks as the best bust team and not a true tanker.

So, yes, in relation to their cellar peers, they have been "good."

They have a ways to go period but they also beat the Leaves a couple times this year, WPG, FL TBL, Vegas and COL.

They can only play who's on the schedule.

I have to say on one sequence that required getting up and down and moving post to post was the first time I saw Soderblom in balance all yr. ..... He was quick, balanced and square. ..... A good game will help this guy go into the offseason.
