Maybe heā€™ll give a pre game interview saying his debut will be epic and there will be tears in the Vegas room after the game.

That is a good one. The Flyers are doomed to be the butt of other teams jokes.

Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Set to miss at least 2-3 weeks
Rotowire FEB 14, 2024
Ristolainen (upper body) will undergo a procedure in 2-3 weeks and will be re-evaluated at that point, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports.

--------

I wonder what happened to the procedure he was supposed to have in early March. Drysdale should be careful. I hear he's considering an offseason procedure on his chronically injured shoulder. On the Flyers, defensemen check in to IR but they don't check out.

https://thehockeynews.com...about-their-health-status

he admitted when he first got traded to Philadelphia that he would be monitoring his health, and implied that he wasn't at 100% full fitness when he arrived at January. When asked if he would have a procedure over the summer because of the persistent shoulder problems, he simply stated, "Potentially."

I hope DB knew that Drysdale wasn't fully healthy, even after missing pretty much the previous year when he traded for him.

Looking at their ticket šŸŽŸ prices and attendance. They are a big tax write-off like the Coyotes.

Awwwe, big, proud "real fan" cant stand when anyone dares to call the Flyers out for their ineptness

The problem is the Flyers not an immature kid

you deserve a sub 500 barely good enough to be a bubble team, you pig

besides, they (frank)ed up drafting him in the first place. Jiricek should have been the pick. Now theyve been embarrassed by a TOP PROSPECT and further embarrassed themselves with their actions afterward (although, "real fans" like yourself, eat that poop up, hook, line and sinker) and ended up with a worse D man than Jiricek

Does the NHL have a rule that surgery can only take place when the season ends or is the Flyers medical staff really that incompetent...or both?

Every year a player is out a long time then decides to get surgery that takes them out longer. Let me guess...Risto may or may not be ready for the start of the season...SHOCKER!

No wonder the Flyers keep injury information more secure than the gold in Fort Knox. It would provide another glimpse into their incompetence.

Also very amusing both Risto and the Flyers were gearing up for a return based on the assumption of a deep playoff run. No one had the sense to speak up to the unlikelihood? Very very funny.

I remember how he was looking forward to his first chance at UFA until his agent saw the actual market. Luckily for him, Fletcher was his #1 fan.

Did Risto actually turn down a 6 yr 6.4m/yr contract before the TDL that year? I bet he still regrets that.

https://flyersnittygritty...rasmus-ristolainen-trade/

Anthony SanFilippo also reported on the most recent episode of the Snow The Goalie podcast that the Flyers offered Ristolainen a 6 year deal with a cap hit of 6.3 million dollars a season. Which the defenseman decided to turn down.

You can't accuse the Flyers of rushing players back, they are so cautious, some of them never return at all. ::drum roll::

Iā€™m changing my tune a little bit and could see them moving Frost and Farabeeā€¦maybe Laughton.

Sign TK, sign a FA center and D

Buyout Cal. 50/50 on buying out Cam.

And then we pray for a Risto trade.
