Yes they beat a crippled butler heat team. Embiid played well closing out the game but he’s as soft as they come standing at the 3 point line getting pushed around by small forwards. He’s soft like Teflon and you know it blacky. 2nd round warriors

2 guys

Seguin and benn for the stars. Both signed massive contracts prior to being up for ufa around the same age as konecnys will be due. Stars have managed to be highly competitive even though those players had their best years prior to the contracts.

A combination of good drafting (Robertson) and the ability to bring vets in on team friendly deals (pavelski) has offset them.

I guess there’s an argument for just signing top 6 forwards and looking to squeeze the margins in other areas.

Laughton apparently emotional after the game. Hopefully he’s sent on his way.

I like Laughton and still think he was a quality pick in the 1st round, but he is better somewhere else and in a suitable role. Hopefully he goes to a team that has a chance for the cup.

He may be a leader, but right now the Flyers need to add skill, even if they are an ahole.

Yea, I just think with Poehling and cates finishing out pretty strong. The writing is on the wall.

I caught the end of that game. Pretty cool that he scored a goal in his final game and that the Isles lined up to shake his hand when the game was over. Must be a pretty cool dude to get that kind of reaction from the other team. Congrats to him. I didn't realize that he was 39 years old. Now I feel old.

His partner in crime, Mike Richards, has been retired for 8 years. Hard to believe.

Crazy! I figured he’d have a shorter career based on the way he played the game, but didn’t see it playing out the way it did.

Hey retard. The case was made by db moron when he didn’t sign him. HE obviously didn’t feel cg was ready for whatever reason you (frank)head. What I need to prove to your dumbass is nothing. And what you think about cg being ready or not doesn’t matter. What matters is the opinion of the guy who signs him. So yet again you are wrong. Please explain to the expert why cg was ready to play. You’re a moron

The reason given was that the Flyers didn't want to risk bonus overages on the cap by taking on Gauthier late in the 22/23 season. Not because they didn't think he was ready. That's been well reported. You are uninformed. There is no need for me to explain why he was ready to play in the NHL in March of 23 simply because I haven't stated that I think he was or wasn't. You wouldn't know that because while you're busy calling people names, you've shown that you can't read. What I've stated is that you don't know that he wasn't ready to play in the NHL. And you don't. Until a player actually plays, nobody truly knows. There's more that you haven't considered but I'll save that for after your next asinine response.

So, the Flyers signed Rizzo after all. I thought the geniuses on here said that he already had a destination in mind and wouldn't sign with the Flyers. Eh what? Be funny if he has a better career than Quitter!!

It's worth mentioning that Joel Farabee played in the NHL as a 19 year old after one year of college. And he was a mid 1st, not a top 5 pick.

And apparently Rizzo didn't have an issue signing his ELC after the Flyers season is over. Rizzo seems fine with competing for a job in camp next year.

Rizzo is a 7th rounder who turns 23 in June and just won the NCAA title. Not surprising he wants to go pro now and get some guaranteed money rather than wait till 8/15/2025 to become a UFA.

I believe that if Gauthier had signed an ELC with the Flyers and went to this most recent camp, he would have made the Flyers out of camp. Not sure he would have stayed with the Flyers, that of course would have depended if he played a style that Torts approved, but I think there would have been a good chance he did stay with the team.

There are 50 NHL players with 70+ points this season. The Flyers have not had a player score 70 in a season since 2018-19.

TK managed 68 in 76 games, but playing on the league's worst PP really held back his overall scoring.

Do we think the Flyers will address the PP in a meaningful way this offseason or are they content to run it back for a 3rd straight year?

They need to find a d-man that can get the puck to the net. They need to find a net front presence.

They can find one of those folks cheaply probably.

Yea but he’s also not some victim on the PP. He stinks just as much as the others.

And that is a pathetic stat.

They have a defenseman who is decent in getting the puck to the net. Zamula but they refused to play him on the PP. I'm not saying he is a PP QB of the future but he was the best the Flyers currently have.

He's a very talented player. Some are PP distributors and playmakers and some are PP scorers. If the Flyers get some good coaching and PP distributors, they can have a decent PP. Konecny can be a PP producer but I just hope it's not with the Flyers.

I agree. Hopefully Drysdale and York can improve as well.
