Are you satisfied if they don't win the cup?

I heard 1940 for my existence, for reference, I was born in 1965, so I’ve seen and heard it all, it’s now been another 30 years, so I can say whatever the (frank) I want, get it ?

Agreed, you can say what you want. But others can also say what they want. I asked you a simple question and you didn't answer.

Every team but one will be disappointed. 1972 SCF loss hurts. 1979 SCF loss hurts. Losing in 86 ECF hurts, Losing in 97 ECF hurts, The 2012 ECF loss hurts, 2014 stings, so does 2015. But I view the 2012-2015 as successful and fun, because the runs were special, they just were not able to get ver the last hump

This is a very good take. I will personally not be satisfied without the championship this season, but that is because they have showed that they are capable and are one of the best teams in the league. If they don't win, it's because they likely didn't play to their best potential.

But I also look back fondly at those years. At the time, I was disappointed because they didn't win it all. But I'd rather that happened than them sucking and missing the playoffs every year.

Turns out the biggest win of the season was probably the 1-0 win in Carolina. March game

Now that we've had the most successful regular season in franchise history, lets look back a moment to the beginning of this past season.

Raise of hands:

How many here really thought the Devils would miss the playoffs entirely?

Very proud of this team, probably feel as good going into the playoffs as I did 30 years ago...I won't be blamed for any hex but this team has 100% GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN THIS SH!T.

Morning ya crazy bastuhds...

Loved every minute of last night's game. The best part for me was that they approached it like a must win. Obviously Ottawa is not a playoff team, but that is as close to having to win a "4th" game as there is in the regular season and they were super. I didn't like the second half of the 1st but they took control after that and once it got to 2-0 I never felt the threatened.

The NHL does a lot of things well, for example, they're good an putting on one off events (stadium Series, The Winter Classic, etc) They SUCK at the schedule. Everyone should play their final games on the last day of the season. The NYR and the other 15 teams in the playoffs should know who they're playing and everyone should get the same minimum rest days.

BINGO!
