Oilers just layin the boots to San Jose, 9-1 and the second period isn’t even over. McDavid with his 100th assist.

Oilers of old, running up the score on a weak team.

So if the knights and LA win out we play the knights if we finish first.

Preds own tiebreakers over the Kings, Kings hold tiebreakers over the Knights. Kings cannot finish 7th

The permutations on who will finish where are in play to the last game it seems. Canucks just take care of their games and let it fall wherever it does.

I think it breaks down like this:

Canucks can win the conference, or end up 1st or 2nd in the division. That means they can play WC1, WC2, or the 3rd place division team.

If Vegas wins out they'll be in the Pacific 3rd as they will have more points than the Kings. Kings will then become WC2.

If Vegas loses any points and the Kings win, Vegas will end up as WC2 and Kings stay Pac 3rd.

Nashville is locked into WC1 as they own the tie breakers over the Kings and Knights.

The way teams are playing I will not be surprised If Chicago win both remaining games.

Yes basically W1 is only locked now. So for Canucks to get Preds it’s combination of getting 1-3 points or Stars picking up a point in their game. We will know more after Wednesday’s results. But like I said it can go to season end. So many possibilities lol.

Kid is pretty good. Most impressive in this era. 4th player in history can Kucherov hit the same mark with one game left?

Lots of combinations, but it currently sits at 91% odds for Vancouver to play Nashville.

I think Nashville has been the hottest team in the league since the all-star game, but it doesn’t matter who you play, they’re all good teams. First round is the best round.

Nashville is the team I would most like to see Van play, I think it's the easiest matchup. The first round will be nuts though no matter what, lots of potential good series.

I want to see Nashville too – I think they match up the best against them. At the very least it'll be exciting. I think they've come down a little lately too off their insane run.

The Canucks have a better record over the last 10 than them, and they beat them all 3 times they played this year. Not to mention Van is simply stronger at every important position. Can't ask for a much better chance in round 1.

Ya the records going into the playoffs don't really mean squat (linked a couple articles about it a while back). But yes, I think Van stacks up well against them.

Yeah I remember the article. It makes sense that form going in to the postseason doesn't mean much. It's pretty damn different to suddenly be playing a best of 7 against 1 team after a multi-day break.
