He is a 1st line center making 9m per and not producing 5v5 and your point is? - Brukie

They need someone on the RW. Roslovic ain’t it. Zib isn’t the type of center that’s going to keep the puck on his stick for 30 seconds a shift and make defenders miss all over the place. Zib and Kreider both are more about cycling the puck and creating chances off of that and so far they haven’t found that missing piece. I feel like Kakko would be perfect for that line bc of his puck possession skills but obviously that’s been tried already and hasn’t worked out. The “type” of RW I think they need on that line, ironically might be Chytil. He can possess the puck, cycle etc and brings a larger skill set than Roslovic. Obviously Chytil is health dependent, but I think he could be the perfect fit there. |

Trouba what? Is he over paid? Yes, And your point is? |

Who cares, Rangers played their asses off for 3/4 of the year, whoever the opponent we should beat them, stop with the whining and get behind the winning, play Rempe - irishgerm
Unless we need someone to blast a guy like Tom Wilson, Rempe really has no place in the lineup for the playoffs. He's too green, like Bambi on ice - very easy to exploit defensively.

The negative Nancie’s are out of control
We have the most wins the org has ever had in a season. We have an MVP candidate. We have an elite goalie. We have a much better coach now. We have the goods.
Just believe for once for (frank)s sake and maybe the bad juju will change |

Just need to not let it get under your skin. I am optimistic about this team. But I don't let someone else's comments affect that. Nothing any of us say or do will impact whether we win or lose. We arent the ones playing. All we can do is hope for the best. |

It has be guys like Brukie/Tom that we’ve only won 1 cup in 80 something years. Nothing else explains it. They give off terrible juju (they are not alone)
I think if Shesty is the best goalie in the playoffs, we win the cup. It’s really that simple imo, like Conn Smythe great. Because they’ll be games we need to win 1-0 over 4 series, 16 wins |

I guess we just have to burn them all at the stake then!
But seriously, you are right, Shesty can steal it. But he doesn't have to be God-like in the same sense Henrik had to be. Shesty has a better team than Henrik ever had. |

Mika had arguably his best game of the season on Saturday and Roslovic probably had his best game as a Ranger. I get the criticism production wise but if you’re comparing to last year, the panarin line has gotten all the 5v5 offensive zone starts (rightfully so) and the Mika line has been deployed in a much more defensive role than in previous seasons and they have been very good at that.
I agree we need 4 lines producing in the playoffs but there is more to the game than points and Mika has not been as bad as advertised on this board.
The team is 1st place in the league so clearly something is working. Again, some criticism is warranted but I’d rather the team win than Mika score 100 points. I think the team and Lavy have earned the benefit of the doubt.
This isn’t directed at you in particular I just chose your post to respond to - SkjeiStadium
Always love your reasonableness. Mika’s demise has been seriously overstated. |

It’s ridiculous. What he does for this team isnt just 5 on 5 and people are blind. It’s like penalty killing doesn’t matter, or shutting down #1 lines
He’s the ARod of the NYR and Panarin is Jeter |

Ppl care way too much about the type of goal- I only care about who has more at the end. Any line that has Panarin on it, will always be the number 1 offense line. |

It might be overblown, but 5x5 translates much more than PP success when you look at who wins in the postseason. There are less penalties, and the good PK teams tend to be in the playoffs making it harder to get PP goals. Special teams is still important and still matters in the playoffs, but that advantage gets mitigated going from regular season to playoffs. |

Right it has to be my juju, or maybe Toms!! What do you live in the stone age?
I bet you go to mediums too right??
You are probably right though, if Shesty is the best goalie in the playoffs, the Rangers win. |

Yes Im blind, I should just listen to you, your reasoning is always sound, just as you were preaching how adding Kane last year was gonna bring the Cup back.
Yeah that worked out well.
Im not on here as some people are and micro analyze any one game. After one loss, some in here are ready to jump off a bridge. Ive always said I look at a large body of games to get a feel as to how a player is playing, 20. 25. 30 games is a good number too use. Mika hasnt produced all season 5v5, it is a problem because playoffs are a different game and you need your best players front and center.
I didnt say the Rangers were going to lose if Mika doesnt produce 5v5 in the playoffs, Im just saying it will make winning harder. |

Mika has gone though 5 RW's this year, at some point you just have to say its Mikas fault and move on. |

Would be ironic if Chytil is the missing piece for that line and actually plays. He’s got probably 4 days of practices before worrying about playing game one |
