This is why I'm on the fence with going for best player available with their 1st round pick
If you bring another defenseman to the fold, you won't have room to develop them all. I know you can always make trades but you have to find the perfect trade partner...I think you have less chances to get the guy you really want this way. - stinger67
Habs are drafting a forward with their first round pick.
I'd be very surprised to see them get another defenseman.
Wheter we draft 5th or 7th, there should be one very interesting forward still available for us anyway.

If the BPAs, all things being equal, at their pick number are defensemen, my bet is the pick is flipped.

I mean, there's always a chance he shows more when coming to NA but there's nothing from all reports that show him having enough upside to become a top 6 forward at the NHL level and he doesn't really have that "grinder" side in his game that would make him an ideal bottom 6 player either.
But he's still young and Timmins used a 2nd to draft him so... might as well see! - Scabeh

no, but he could be a good 3rd line player...
I wouldn't mind seeing him play a year in the SHL to be honest. - stinger67
Lehkonen light....2 way guy, currently playing center, having a great year offensively in a league that sucks offensively. |

I m not 100% convinced they keep that pick, but we will see.
My hope is that there is a stud forward when their number comes up, and they grab him.

Hugo said it in the interview with serevalli, if the BPA is a LHD...they would most likely move down a few spots |

That is what I advised him to do, on our weekly strategy call.

this made me look up those arm bands men used to wear in the old days (which is exactly what i asked google about). shirts used to just all have long large sleeves with no cuffs. you used an "arm garter" to control the length of your sleeves so they don't get dirty or messed up while you work.
these days, pretty much only casino card dealers wear them as part of their costumes because they make it harder to hide cards up your sleeves if they weren't all long and whatnot.

yeah, that doesn't really make any sense to me, but hey, people are allowed to follow any religion or beliefs they want, so if Gorton is an omnipotent god to them then so be it I guess. |

there are extremist far right movements that also wear some sort of arm bands, but those aren't there to hide anything, they're more about showing to the rest of the world how unhinged they've become. |

Heard at the office today, by one of the big bosses:
"This meeting is so boring. I don't even know why I'm here, they don't want my department. Plus I'm hungover." |
