If the Rangers win tonight, they will eliminate FIVE teams from Presidents Trophy contention:

— Canucks (Max 111 points)
— Avalanche (Max 110 points)
— Panthers (Max 110 points)
— Jets (Max 110 points)

A regulation win would guarantee the first two tiebreakers to be in favor of the Rangers against the Dallas Stars

They already own the RW tiebreaker against the Bruins, and need just 3 points to clinch the East

And with a win today and a Canes regulation loss tomorrow, the Metro will officially be clinched

I mean I guess sure. That Coyotes team is ran worse than many junior teams. A new city & owner can bring in new life to an organization. You look at Vegas and their owner (I know Vegas didnt derive from a relocation but the point remains) and I feel it should instill some hope for the players that maybe your team will be more competitive in the near future. You're getting paid millions. You can buy a home in a warm weather state for the offseason

Thanks. Seems like they don't care that they're going to SLC from Arizona, but more so with how the deal went down. Seems strange to be upset about. It's a business decision and that's how business works. Owners do what's in their best interest
