ZAR is up on en emergency recall and will play tonight for DET.

Not a true must win, but as close as it gets. I hope we crush them tonight, no need for nervous moments in the 3rd!

Great. He will score, then.

That was my first thought too, but they also have Sprong, Perron, Petry, and Maatta to fill that roll. I'm hoping we come out fire and put up 6 or 7 so it doesn't matter who scores for them.

That's right, I forgot there was that many ex-Pens on the Wings....we're doomed.

So you’re saying we need at least 5 to win.

Although we have Neddy. Maybe they cancel each other out.

Haha yeah he’s overpaid but not one of the worst 5 contracts in the nhl. I’d take him over everyone of those guys as well so the fact that he was listed at #1 is funny. I think Letang is worth exactly what he gets paid, and if ek was right around the same he would be bang on is dollar value. Coincidentally enough there points are almost the exact same.

That was quite a while back. Still with Buffalo I think around Pitts cup wins.

Wasn't there a second player who did the same thing within a few months of ROR's accident?

Isn't that just something Canadians do? It's like hitting a deer with your jeep where I grew up.

A couple of nitpicky things with that article. It wasn't the first thing Dubas did. I believe it was literally the last thing he did last summer.

While it's a bad contract, there should have been some mention of the contracts that left to get him here. I think this guy had a narrative he wanted to spin and adding that context didn't fit. Plus.... He's been pretty good.

Meh...his cap hit for the Pens (10 mill) is about 3ish mill too much this season. Last season his cap hit was right in line being one of only six defenseman in the history of the league to hit 100 points. Next season? We shall see.

Just like the pens, he’s 1 decent pp away from being worth 8-9m
