Nobody really knows at this point. The sad part is that Michkov and Cutter could have been the real core of the team for years. I just wish we knew what really took place and why he wanted no parts of the Flyers organization. Love to know what really went down...

It’s water under the bridge. The what and why don’t matter now. I guess it would be beneficial for the Flyers to know providing they learned from it. But there is no upside for Cutter to give a reason knowing that the distraction would be of no benefit to him. Maybe after significant time has passed, he’ll address it. But his agent is inept if he let him address it now.

It'd be one of those instances where the team trading for Konecny wouldn't do it unless their was an agreement in place for an extension.

Tough to say but a possibility for sure.

Cutter's in the same place as Brayden Schenn and Puljujarvi were not that long ago. For a brief time people talked about them like they were the next coming after a little bit of dominance against teens.

He'll probably become a good player but I still don't see the necessary hockey sense and team play that makes the elite guys elite. The same things that are holding Tippett back from becoming the next Nate MacKinnon lol.

I saw Gauthier play once in an exhibition game (So take that for what it’s worth). Going into the game, prior to see him do anything, the majority of this board said Gauthier was a shoot first player. I go to the game, he plays center, literally all Gauthier did was shoot. He’d skate up ice with the puck and shoot. If he didn’t have the puck, he’d drifted the half wall and get into position for a one timer. Fast forward to the world juniors. I did not see him play but come to find out Gauthier is racking up assists. I haven’t seen any major playmaking highlights from the tournament that suggest Gauthier’s game is offensively balanced as Michkov’s but I did see Gauthier was taking a reasonable amount of shots in the tournament but the puck wasn’t going in for him.

Did anyone here watch Gauthier play and do we have a reason to believe he has a solid, balanced offensive game? I’m only asking from my very limited experience with the young player.

I like what you’re thinking but I doubt TK gets it done for a top 10 pick. TK seems more like a candidate to go to a team who is one top 6 winger away from making a legit run next year and those teams aren’t it. How some teams get drummed out of the playoffs might give some clues. Just my thoughts but last time I checked I have the same NHL GM experience as everyone else here.

God. Could you imagine if Torts punched one of our players in the head on the bench like Lavi with Leino? It would be over. I can’t remember how many times I’ve seen Peter Laviolette call a timeout, turn red as lava as he publicly ripped the players as he flipped the switch. We as fans loved it.

considering we have glaring holes and forwards like Tippett, Forester, Farabee, Frost and Brink... you have to trade TK and Laughton. Get all the 1sts and 2nds you can. At bare minimum those guys need to be moved.

It's all subjective. What the real issue is that the Flyers could've had two of the top prospects in the NHL but they blew it. Could've had two prospects with elite potential.

Buffalo and Ottawa could be interesting as I think there is more of a need to make the playoffs. They could possibly be more willing to move out their 1st rounder. Also Ottawa has Boston's first this year. I get it might not happen but they would be the move I would look to make and try to either get a top defender or maybe someone like Cayden Lindstrom or Sam Deckinson. I have also seen Eisermann dropping in some mocks.

Other then those two, I am not sure I see other teams moving that 1st rounder. But I would be looking to move him. I don't see him as a big part of the move forward because of the deal it is going to take to keep him.

Also could you entice them more if it were Konecny and one of the first rounders this year? I don't like what is going to happen with this Konecny deal moving forward as guys like Farabee and Tippett are tied up long term.

Then next TDL, I think you have the chance to move Laughton and Hathaway.

This roster needs major reshaping and need to purge out players.
