Oh and Jim to answer your question about loving Gartner, as you can see, I have a history on loving a player who by regular season standards killed it but came up quite short in the playoffs.
So all the love you want to give to these players for their regular season accomplishments, knock yourself out, Im old enough to know the real season starts at game 83.
As usual, things in here are taken quite literally. - Brukie
I mean Wysh wants the clicks there. It's why he wrote it. He knows it's bait. People take it all the time. If you're not a looney tune, you'll read it, call him an idiot and move on. If not, you end up other people

oh yeah, I don't know anything about playoff success being important

U are him. What he wrote and how/why he wrote it is exactly why/how you write everything u say. For no purpose other than to cause controversy

He has been a Ranger hater in a bunch of his past articles
I just can't believe you some of guys, we talk about this every day for years, even during the summer
this team is the reason we've been doing it, this is the time, this is it, and so many of you are just so negative, I dont get it - jimbro83
See, I think you are the negative one for allowing one comment from Tom, not even directed at you or saying a single thing about the Rangers, to derail you from logical reason. YOU drive the conversation toward him and YOU won't let it move on and YOU can't scroll passed a comment without starting the whole stupid argument again.
you can't control Tom's comments, Jim. Only your own. So, if you want this to stop being a constant theme on here, stop fucking commenting on it.
You're like a 3 year old watching someone pick up their favourite toy. No one on here has to follow the rules that you lay out.
We all know what our team is right now. Who gives a fuck if someone disagrees with you? Have the confidence in your opinion to let others be wrong and go about your day.

I can't believe at this time as a fan you'd rather having someone like Tom posting over someone like me

I think we value both of your opinions as you both bring something to the table. It's not either/or.
Yes Tom has more of a negative slant and posts Doppler Radar charts that I simply scroll past because I simply don't care about them. Miss the days of his Ref assessments.

Wrong again.
I want both of you to keep posting without this retarded power struggle of "he's wrecking this public forum" becoming the main attraction every day.
I tend to agree with you more than Tom, as I have a pretty good understanding of the realm of statistics, but don't feel they accurately portray the events contained in a hockey game. There are some things you can derive properly from the stats and other things like desperation and will to win that can't. Even though, I know some advanced stats attempt to.
What I'm saying is you both need to back off from this point where you are enraged, annoyed or combative by each other's mere presence on this board, regardless of what either of you are actually saying.

You call it negative, cynical, cautious, I call it apprehensive. There are many names.
Look at their history, constantly signing big name players, always coming up short. One Cup in 2 lifetimes.
How can one not be apprehensive? Am I excited for these coming playoffs? Yes. Do I think this team can win the Cup? Yes Has this team failed to deliver time and time again? Yes

I like the fact that you think there's a chance I will get less nuts as this gets closer to the playoffs
Tom is just an apprehensive person. Take it with a grain of salt. Do you really care what a keyboard warrior really thinks? - Brukie
Except I'm not. This all started because Wysh wrote something, people responded. I responded with what the Kings did in 2012. Now 2 people are angry that I won't take a shot at the Kings for winning a championship in 2012. Like, okay? There isn't any charts or graphs to get mad at here. You're (they're) just angry to be angry now.

what I hate is a Ranger fan telling us we can't do it

see, now that's (frank)ing funny!!
We are pretty much all in that boat together.
I'd just rather we get nuts about what matters, not that someone you are likely to never meet has a viewpoint that doesn't mesh the majority.
I'm so ready to drive my wife mad by putting the rest of my life on the back burner and settle in to watch the best Rangers team we've seen in a generation, if not more, prove that they're ready to do what it takes in the playoffs!!!

LET'S FUCKING GO RANGERS!!!!!!! - Tonybere
I was watching a 1994 Cup documentary where fans were being interviewed back then as part of it and a guy said when they won he said to himself "now I can finally get on with my life" and I've never agreed more about something

I am also that person. For 30 years the Rangers have failed. The way I see it, they owe me one of three things.
1. My time back. Get on that Dolan.
2. My money back. Get on that Dolan.
3. A championship.
You tell me what one of those options is the most realistic.

Oh yeah. I tend to gloss over it when my wife mentions me watching all 82 Rangers games. She gets it by now. But, once we get to the point where I've got the multi-screen going and I'm watching EVERY game, EVERY night the tension ratchets up a bit!!!
