Silver lining for me is the team certainly needs talent upgrades on the ice, but Torts is showing upgrades needed behind the bench besides replacing Rocky. We'll see if Briere will make extensive changes this summer.

I understand that Farabee has been slumping but playing him on the 4th line is a mistake. The best thing for the Flyers is for Farabee to get going again. Playing him on the 4th line in limited minutes is not going to be a good situation for that to happen. This is what Tortorella does. He does not help a player get better. Just further buries a player.

He's a vet, never give Torts the option of playing a vet. They are like crack to him.

I have never understood why coaches are ok with vets who make mistakes and won't learn from them but flip out when young guys make mistakes they may actually learn from.

With the Flyers "luck" they will miss the playoffs by 1 point. Pick is 16th but they win the lottery. Since they can only move up 10 spots they pick 6th - in a not great draft.

Oh good, Ginning and Attard sitting again. I hope Zemula and Johnson or maybe even Staal continue their dominance.

Farabee hasn't done anything to earn a 2nd line spot. He's a 3rd liner on most playoff teams.

Most of these guys haven't earned anything yet. Especially the right to feel comfortable in the line up.

Ahh more potential good news. The prospect of both Johnson and Staal playing can’t possibly hurt the playoff chances. I’m glad all the useless guys are riding the pine, sparing us from watching them not play right or learn. Gurianov. Hmph. Who needs all that speed when you got Cam Atkinson in the lineup?!

its not an clichés, it is a show me league like all the other leagues. You want to start, you want starter minutes then show me.

Its why Brink sits, he shows nothing to say he deserves a spot in the NHL, he dominates the AHL but disappears in the NHL.

It s not hold your hand league and hope you perform.

I agree, Z is struggling. I would prefer Ginning and Attard. Coaches are going to lean on Vets more than rookies.
