he will take a penalty and the Leafs will give up the series winning goal on the PP
- senstroll

That would be a Leafy classic!

I could handle that I guess but if it occurs and Bunting gets the series winning goal I’ll openly admit that apparently I’m a dumb dumb and even dumber dumbass

yup thats exactly what I said

So it would have been ok to cheer for it if the Leafs had come back to tie up the game but because they did not do so it's not ok?

It's something they should have done against Montreal back in the day and didn't. So I've remained curious to see it actually happen.
- Scabeh

Completely agree Scabbie.

Which is where my hatred for Keefe and Dubas began. Keefe because he was too stupid to figure that out and Dubas because our team was filled with soft as slime pencil necks.

Glad MM is back. Miss his fun style of play.

I like the idea of 3 lines with offensively dangerous player/s on each.

If you've got it, used it Keefe ya dumb fat bastard.

to steal a quote from moneyball
"I hate losing more than I even want to win"

fan frustration iv seen is that they seem to look fine when they are losing. and people want them to hate losing..or playoffs at least require something like that

- senstroll

Oh I 100% hate losing and feel that frustration if I feel like players are ok with losing - Leafs or teammates.

I wonder a bit if our fan view of them seeming to be fine when losing is POSSIBLY misunderstood though - are they Leafs just that confident that they can come back that they don't freak out when losing?

Not sure but full admission I get pissed off when they look like they don't care about losing like any other crazy leaf fan, irrespective of the reality of what they really feel.

Specifically this was an April game that in the grand scheme of things means very little to nothing so that might also be a factor, not sure.

Bases loaded, vlad up to bat.
1 out

Vlad hits into a double play?

Edit:
Wild pitch, runs scores, runners advance, no double play opportunity anymore
Vladdy gets k'd but he battled.

IKF was the biggest deal and they signed early'ish..multiple years (after the ohtani nonsense was decided). for some reason he was a priority.

so to me he was the target. Turner was a last second addition. cant say he was in the plans

- senstroll

I think the Turner late signing was a factor of them still going after other bats (Bellinger, etc) and circling back on Turner after other options disappeared. IKF was more of a “we know we’re going to need another infielder so let’s grab him early”.

Fantastic!

Now the Leafs need to invest in the latest Ipad technology on the bench that allows you to do a simulation into the future.

Then that bum Reaves needs to study the poop out of it before he goes on to the ice just in case he gets challenged to a fight to ensure he knows if he should accept or decline.

This sounds like a plan that will yield an exceptionally high success rate.

It's one of those tourney's where you get beer tickets to use in the upstairs bar at the rink so my guess is it will be what many refer to as "hockey beer" which is just slang for cheap / whatever is on sale and is almost never referred to as "good" beer.

Exception being if it's ice cold and you have just won said tourney.
