They also need a load of cap hit to get to the floor.....so, this is why they're my only hope for Graves being unloaded. He has a fair bit of term left and sizable hit to help get him to the floor. - MattStrat
I bet they could use a 10 million man that comes with lots of stretch passes. |

The Pens lack of forward prospects would seemingly be a nice destination for college FA forwards. Unfortunately, they also know Sully's hates young players these days. |

Jackson Blake named a finalist for the Hobey Baker.
Still can't believe you guys didn't get him OR Scott Morrow. - BINGO!

Goes to show you how unreliable the internet is. They were convinced he wasnt willing to go out West.
Good get for the Sharks. |

Dubas is about to fire Sullivan for winning now and not giving the pens a top 7 pick lol.
Puuljarvi is looking much better. DOC and Puustinen look more confident. Eller is hitting another gear. The young dmen are holding their own. Bunting is looking more and more comfortable with Malkin. Ned went full Vezina mode.
It’s like the team stopped sulking over the Guentzel trade and realized they need to start winning again.
Can they continue this little winning streak for the next 7 games? Probably not…but at least it’s fun to watch.

Why lose? Jake's probably more likely to come back to Pittsburgh if he wins. |

I don’t dislike Carolina like I do all the other metro teams but I just don’t want another metro team to win. Ideally the nhl would just stop once the pens are done.
I guess it depends. Once Pittsburgh is out I have a long list of teams I cheer against which the canes are not on that list. So I suppose it’s possible I could be cheering for them by means of cheering against who they are playing. |

These games are our playoffs. I'm glad they mean something. Those 2/3 weeks where they sulked were depressing.

Assuming the Pens don't make it, then I'll definitely root for CAR over any other team in the East. I'm fairly indifferent to most of the teams in the West. |

McDavid is a case study in the failure of NHL marketing. He’s an electric player when you actually watch him and puts up like a million points a year but I rarely every hear about what he’s doing outside of just seeing his point totals and honestly I’m not sure I care cus why would I ever care about what’s going on in bum(frank) Edmonton. Just generally bored by his existence because I don’t know any better. The hype surrounding McDavid is basically nonexistent compared to what it should be. He’s a LeBron James-Sohei Ohtani level athlete and you just don’t hear about him in the same way you do those other two. |

Will be interesting with draisaitl and Bouchard are prob getting hefty raises after next year, then McDavid the year after. Maybe one of the two will have to leave. |

Would be a completely different story if he were in the east or even California. No chance of getting attention in Edmonton. When he comes to Pittsburgh in 2 years, that will help.

Dude is about to join Wayne, Mario, and Bobby Or as the only players and have a 100 assist season.
(frank)in Wayne did it 11 times in a row lol
Lemiuex and Orr only once.
Definitely a piss poor job by the NHL on marketing the best player in the world. |

If he played in any big market, or even a mid-market US team, you'd probably hear a lot more. Edmonton and Winnipeg just have no appeal to anyone. |
