If he doesn't score 70 goals he will be at 68 or 69.
Crazy impressive season. - Santo_44
I'm thinking people saw 2 guys hit 61 (Pasta) and 64 (McJesus) goals last season while Zach Hyman is trending towards 59 himself this year and, as a result, are undervaluing AM34's totals.
Really hoping he hits 67 this year as it would be absurdly symbolic.

It is absolutely batpoop that Hyman is a 50 goal scorer. No offense to the guy.
This is a weird simulation we are living in now. Birds aren't real and Hyman scored 50+ goals.

Papi has 10 more goals than Hyman. TEN.
It is crazy how people are undervaluing it. The dude can score 8 goals in 8 games. Leafs have some games against some real crap teams defensively.

Mcjesus is why.
And I won't take away from Hyman here, he is a perfect fit for Mcdavid and he has earned the favourable position. - Santo_44
Yup. McJesus is shooting less and dishing more this year which has benefitted Zach. Of Hyman’s 52 goals, 34 of them were assisted by McDavid (24 of them primary).
McJesus and Hyman scored a combined 100 goals last season between them. This season they're trending towards 92 combined.

I like you man - but only a fool would undervalue 34’s season. Only 9 other players scored 60+ twice it’s insane. That’s the accomplishment by its self…but 67 would be crazy indeed. I’m pulling for it…and pulling it when it happens

Dude, just to be clear, I'm not undervaluing it all - it's one for the ages!
I'm just speculating on the potential retarded narratives that are probably being used to undermine what he's accomplished.

Maybe McJesus should be shooting more? 🤔 - mjones242
I don't doubt at all that Mcdavid is looking to get the assists and get Hyman the goals this year.
Its a long season and players chase individual numbers, can't blame them.
