Oh if it only were that simple. So will the Yankees win like 130 games? - Blueshirts4ever
I'm just kidding. Some people won't be happy unless the Rangers go 16-0 in the playoffs. |

Its not about Trouba being in the lineup. Its about the fact that the team, held up well without him, and the Miller/Schneider pairing held its own quite well during that stretch despite all the injuries. So why force the issue with Trouba? You have 2 young kids, the eventual future of the defense who are playing good hockey together, why mess with it? Put Trouba with Jones and ease him back into the lineup after spending nearly a month on the sidelines. - aecliptic
This.
They were humming along fine without Trouba, no reason to shake things up since he's working his way back. Leave Miller and Schneider together until there is an issue. |

I get it but my point is the coach isn't going to do that unless things get REAL bad. Trouba had a great start to the season. Fell off midseason. Maybe he was hurt? Who knows? He is apparently healthy and missed roughly a month. Does he get a reasonable amount of time to try to fix it or shake the rust off? I think he has earned that. The fact that he is in the top 4 as he returned, OK, that's the Coach's philosophy. When Kakko returned, Lavy threw right up to the top line (Mika's even though thats L2), so giving his captain the benefit of the doubt is the way this coach does it.

I guarantee you if the Rangers win 16 in the playoffs no one will care how many they lost. Not even Tom
Edit: unless it’s more than 12, then an investigation will be needed |

I'll only be happy with 16 playoff wins. Anything less than that, watch out. |

Not that I support his argument but McDavid was not a free agent signing |

Having the best player doesn’t guarantee you a series victory in the playoffs. It’s unrealistic expectations to say that the success of the rangers signing of a Atemi Panarin should only be judged on whether the rangers win the Stanley Cup. The best player in hockey has not won a Stanley Cup, or even gotten to a cup finale
Edit : by Brukie standards -the oilers should have passed on McDavid |

I know you are too ignorant to understand my thinking at the time but I will run it down for you again. Rangers were in a rebuild with multiple over valued contracts, signing him at the time forced us to buyout multiple contracts instead of trading them for assets. His contract at the time was second most expensive behind Mcdavid although never had finished top 5 in scoring. Having him on the team did not help us lose games but rather have us in the middle of the pack but we won the lottery 2 years in a row so of course that point was moot. I had said Panarin was not a proven commodity to carry a team in the playoffs to justify that contract.
Of course your stupidity once again shines though not knowing the difference for drafting a player and paying him league minimum and signing a player who was never a top 5 player in the league at scoring to the second most expensive contract in the league at the time. Even still the Oilers are proving even with 2 of the best players in the world doesnt guarantee winning anything. So signing the best free agent doesnt mean anything.
As a fan I always got excited when the Rangers signed all these free agents but to always come up short in the playoffs, my expectations have tempered over the years so signing him at the time was against what the Rangers were suppose to be doing with a rebuild
So until we win a Cup, to me, he will just be another high priced free agent signing. I dont give a (frank) what you think because you are a moron anyway. |
