I am sure that you know this, but next year when you are looking at a players previous years ppg totals, you will base it on the season which they played in. It is not decided pre ASB, post ASB. They do not do 25 game segments to determine ppg unless that player only played 25 games.

Next year is next year. The context is a 25 game segment which is a healthy sample size of late. It matters not when the real season aka PO’s begins. I’m not they & I’ll post what I deem relevant to the current stretch the team has been mediocre at. Said since preseason ad nauseum the PP & PK were the biggest priorities after remaking the D. The D was done & the former still a work in progress.

Now is it really that you don’t like Pettersson because you seem to really want to stay on this tac and are just plain mocking the player. His production is good, could be better, but what’s the real motive here, it would help when responding.

Completely disagree. The same people that complain about EP complained about Benning and will complain about many things in the future.

I asked & got his jersey for an Xmas present. Always have liked him. Doesn’t mean I like his slump one bit. I’m hard on all high paid players to produce to their level.

I take issue with him hot & cold this season. Nothing more. I want the best for all players. Am I worried? No. Venting on & on? Yes.

My motive is I’m highly competitive & this season has my juices flowing. I’m looking at us getting to real contender status & staying there.

There are people in here that can't be a big fan of one player(Miller) without disliking or even hating what *they* consider his counter part. In this case, Petey. The theme has been there most of the season. Miller vs Petey over and over. Miller's struggles throughout his career not a consideration. Only what he became once he turned 30 is considered. The fact that Petey has been on a better trajectory than Miller and is only 25 and still a ton of time to improve and mature isnt a consideration. The whole Miller vs Petey crap has always been massively tilted so only the positive is in the spotlight for Miller, and the very limited negative for Petey has been magnified.

It's mostly just a case of some fans maturity I think.

Furthermore I’ll consider a 1st round win success & go from there. 1 & done won’t quite satisfy me unless 7 games in a titanic battle we lose.

I’d like to see Myers & Z resigned & keep the big D size around. No room for Cole & Lindholm cap wise.

The whole thing is idiotic, they’re on the same team rowing in the same direction. When Tocchet, Foote and Gonchar came onboard and made them all realize that they started finding team success.

Demko is an NHL star, Miller is an NHL star, Pettersson is an NHL star, Hughes is an NHL star, the supporting cast has been good, the defence has been good, the hockey has been good this year. Has it been perfect, there’s no such thing, I’ve really enjoyed the season. #playoffs

I would not have guessed you as a Pettersson fan, as I stated earlier, criticism of a player can make good hockey conversations but quadrupling down on meaningless 25 game ppg segments and mocking he’s on fire and hart trophy and salary and whatever , didn’t come across as a fan.
