People are too negative on this site. This team was in the toilet 18 months ago, and now look at them. We're talking about things that were never possible with Vigneault, Yeo or the other coaches who tried to turn things around. Try not to focus on the problems, yes they are definitely there, but try to enjoy it !

In the past sure, but now a lot of the KHL oligarch owners are under sanctions. That's probably why Danny said they had to work closely w/ NHL legal during the process. Don't wanna accidentally breach national security.

The guys that own that team aren’t exactly hurting for cash. They’ve got oil money.

They're currently a below .500 team. There were several years under Vigneault and Hakstol where the Flyers had a better record then they do now.

It's a process, Rome was not built in a day. The past two seasons the Flyers were laughing stocks to other teams in the league, and worst of all for Flyers fans, they were not a likeable team to root for. This year has been the first good hockey season in the past several years, it has been a step in the right direction. The Flyers are an exciting team to watch, and they have young players that a Flyers fan can get behind and root for. Of course they are far away from contention, everyone knows that beginning with Jones, Briere and Torts. But I for one look forward to watching every single game the Flyers play and can't wait to see what they do this off-season and the draft.

.916 in the playoffs and .914 save percentage in the regular season is not bad, but whatever the reason, I am relieved to see him here. I also believe the Flyers paid off somebody to get him over so quickly.

Hopefully they do the right thing and start by trading Konecny and Laughton if they can find the right deals. Try and move that stiff Ristolainen without taking it on the chin too badly and for heavens sake, stop signing players like Staal and Hathaway.

It nakes total sense why DB didn't upgrade the back up position. This had to be in the works for weeks, if not a month or more since I imagine getting a visa for a Russian player who is Russian military doesn't sound like a cake walk.
