Defense gets more aggressive when they know the goalie will make the save if they get beat.
- LAHawk

Yep, and when the forwards get back to help. Playing defense is a 5 man exercise. ...... That said, looks like the high energy/pace the club had in the 1st took some legs outa them in the 2nd. Mrazak made the difference in the 2nd.

Did anyone see Jason D*ckinson scoring 20 goals for the season?

I was actually thinking to myself that Jason D was cooling off lately.

He competes, he rolls up his sleeves and works. So far he’s played like that in all his games. I wish Entwistle would watch him and apply himself the same way. I think Entwistle doesn’t play hard every shift.

Slaggert has hockey sense, I.e.,the little play along the boards on the second goal, Entwhistle has tunnel vision, and falls all over the place.

Hunts the puck down low, beauty of a pass off the boards, i don't see this kid going to the A any time soon.

One of the best games they’ve played all season. Solid in all three zones.

It's just nice to see we might have another piece to the puzzle with the way Slaggert plays hockey.

Ideally, you just keep him with Richardinson, and find someone else for the AA Reichel line.

This Pospisil guy is a (frank)ing nuisance, he’s always got his nose in everybody’s business. He’s always in front of the net. He’s always hitting guys, he’s annoying everybody. I’d like to see Entwistle emulate his game.

Yeah, I changed my mind, keep him with #16. Nice game by the boys tonight.

I know you aren’t allowed to say it out loud, but I thought Jones had a really good game. Broke up a lot of plays, got the PP goal.

I just don't see him being a part of this teams future.

I had the Calgary feed and they couldn't stop talking about Jones and the plays he was making.

Not if he thinks he only has to put effort in every third or fourth game.

That’s what is so frustrating. He has his moments or games when he looks like a good top pair defender. But later that game or the next game he looks awful or makes 3 bonehead plays.
Maybe playing with Vlasic is a big factor.
I think Kaiser has some potential to be a good 2nd pairing option.
Korchinski needs a lot of work, but just about every 19 year old does.

The Blackhawks have the NHL's largest female fanbase, second-largest Gen-Z fanbase and third-largest non-white fanbase. That growth across demographic lines has helped boost attendance despite a poor on-ice product. Story:

- BetweenTheDots

Is this Exhibit A why advertisers only care about the 18-54 demographic? You think putting the Hair Guy with the twitter followers in the booth is a reason for all those fine benchmarks? ..... If you polled the people on this board they'd vote for McConnell in the booth or the Hair Guy?

Do you prefer the Hair Guy or McConnell, Dots? How bout your wife or kids?

I'm a Jrs and unaffiliated AA pro fan and have seen more than enough franchises fold due to poor attendance. While following the USHL franchises in Indy, Columbus and Bloomington folded. ...... I understand the need to draw fans firsthand, Dots.

That said you have mature hockey fans in any base. They know a guy like the Hair Guy stinks and it affects the experience and over time it wears on a fan. ... I'm ok with people like the Biz Lady with the dirty shoes having their theme nights, giveaways, intermission stuff, community stuff to draw kids, girls and non-hockey fans. I"ll put up with all that stuff, it's needed to grow attendance and a younger generation but keep these people 100 miles from anything hockey related....... She and her kind have their place but it ain't anywhere near on ice hockey related stuff. Your hard core hockey fans need to be satisfied as well.

I never ever ever ever listen to the Hawk feed unless I can't get the opponents feed, and I doubt I'm alone, and that just so happened tonight or I'd have never know McConnell was on the call.

The Hair Guy, and Panger too, is Exhibit A of people who know nothing about the sport.

Pospisal was with the Sioux City squad that lost to the Steel in the championship. Schmid was in goal for the Musketeers, Vladar for the Steel. Series went to the maximum 5 games and OT before the Steel won it.

A fine Jrs player. Glad he made it to the Bigs.

Yep. Reminds me of a few kids I watched in Jrs. Guys who had 25-30 pts at seasons end but as you watch the game live you say atta boy kid 15-20 times a games. Little play after little play all game long that make a difference. Good reads, stick lifts/tie ups, good leverage, head up all game long, smart line change, disruptive, support the puck, pucks out pucks deep.

It's the Bigs now though. Like what I've seen of Slaggert but let's see how consistent he is.

How do you like the single barrel?
- paulr

It good, a bit more complex than the small batch, and getting it at a Virginia ABC store, its MSRP, $55

Didn't last night, but will taste it vs. Blanton's, as it really Blantons juice before they distill it again in Virginia. Aged roughly same time

With his helmet on, he kind of even looks like Hagel when he first came up
