Been so long since they used that play successfully. Geno to Neal was gold from that spot.

McCrimmon and zeto I think are the two best gm’s right now. I prefer zeto’s build though if they can stay healthy through a set of playoffs.

So how do you think they will blow this one?

Weird seeing #3 play good D.
Good physical effort so far tonight.
65 gets his shots blocked so much it’s crazy
DOC has killed a few good rush chances

A decent pens team showed up tonight.

I think Jesse P is one of our 12 best forwards and should not be scratched anymore

I mean people have said that about letang for over a decade too. I think that shots from the blue line just get blocked a lot in general and you notice that when a defenseman takes a lot of shots consistently like Letang and Karlson do

For sure but is all over the ice. Watching him in Ottawa he was great at getting pucks through. Seems like every opportunity is blocked now.

We just did to CAR what countless bad teams have done to us over the past 15 years: we got outplayed but our no-name backup goalie stone-walled them all night for the win.

Felt like we were pretty dece against a much more talented and dynamic team.

We played well in the first and third, but they should've taken the lead in the second -- but Ned shut them down. That's what looked to me like the inverse of so many Pens games over the years against bad teams. Now we're the bad team whose backup goalie stood on his head and kept us in it until we could sort ourselves out.

Sully had good things to say about him, specifically his two way game. If Sullivan thinks he played a good two way game, he might just get into good standing since I feel like that’s all Sully seems to care about when it comes to support players.

St. Ivany was solid all season. He actually allowed for Ty Smith to do a lot of what he did because of his defensive positioning and skills. Last year he showed signs of being solid defensively this year he was really noticeable in a good way. I think a lot of players have been for WBS this season (maybe because of the veteran leadership).

If that group we iced last night wasn't the youngest team we've had in a long time it's close. Refreshing.

It also looks like we actually have a couple guys who can play at this level. Puljujarvi is on a two-game goal scoring streak. I looked like he got a couple of shifts with Eller and Smith to finish the game. St. Ivany got 15 minutes, which is a lot considering he plays behind Letang and Karlsson.

Poulin got nine minutes, which is about six more than I anticipated. I have to say, I didn't notice him much. The good news is he's going to be here a while.

Two games ago I said Sid wouldn't get to 75 points with Drew as his side car. The old criticize someone and it bites in the arse came quick here.

In my defense, the only point Drew helped on was the rare own rebound goal into the empty net.

On the other hand, that does give Drew two goals since Jake was traded. I believe they are tied in goals in that timeframe. And Drew is going to be $10M cheaper next season.

The answer to the question everyone has been asking is, Dubas has 72 hours after the draft lottery to decide what to do with our 1st round pick.
