How long has EK been stuck at 46 points now? Oh wait, People would rather watch him skate like the wind in this city. Who cares about winning or losing. The only people with this pittsburgh team that should get paid and need a raise are the team physicians. Everytime the penguins make a change on ice the physicians have to check every player for a pulse when they get off the ice. That includes the "coaches" also, that's overtime there though.

Read multiple articles about Dubas listening to offers on EK because he wants the cap space this offseason. I guess his ultimate goal is unload a bunch of cap during the draft/offseason to be aggressive in FA. Then again I heard rumors of him looking into Gaudreau or a winger who can drive the play. I think the ultimate goal is using Bunting and Rakell for the 2nd line wingers.

Yes I am..I don't fall asleep during a panther game. Tkatchuk has a bigger set then the entire penguin "team". Pansies.

NOPE..Truth hurts..Blame dubas and sullivan for this slop on ice..Not me.
- jb55

What truth? lol there's nothing/no one to blame. I'm not upset nor am I blaming anyone because I'm happy with 3 cups. you just said you're a panthers fan so you've got no reason to be here and spew garbage, because honestly no one cares.

I think Malkin’s time as the 2C is over. If Bunting and Rakell are your 2nd line wingers, there needs to be a new center with Malkin dropping to 3C with OConnor. I have no idea who could be available as a 2C, but the 2nd line needs some life

I thought you were against +/- stats?
- jb55

How are you assuming anything from merely correcting an erroneous comment?

"against +/-" hahaha what a weird thing to say. I am not against any stats at all, they all can be used to evaluate things. However, I don't put much stock/value in +/- as many other stats. On the totem pole of stats importance I put +/- fairly low.

To my eyes it looks like the D are checked out, and ready for summer, but the forwards want to try and make playoffs hahaha
- MattStrat

Graves and EK should never be on the ice together. Really more of a comment on Graves. Man is he bad. If I had to drag Dubas over one move last summer, it would be signing him. I think we're stuck with him for the foreseeable future.

I think the team as a whole has checked out defensively. They'll still work at trying to score goals, but as soon as the puck is turned over, there's a half second delay at playing defense. It's almost like they say "what's the point". While they're probably right in thinking that, it's really stark against fast teams.

Another thing I was thinking about last night.... They need to get EK back on the PP. Work on it for next year.

It was pretty close in the first 2 periods with the Pens actually having a good 2nd.

They just cannot keep up. I was hoping Sully would make adjustments but no.

The best this team can do against fast young teams is hang on.

The 3rd line has something going so look for Sully to switch it up.

You're right, they have no ability to transition to D quickly and effectively.

Once the up the boards "pass" gets picked off it becomes a scramble, like no one knows what to do or where to go once it's turned over.

Sully still thinks it's 2016. He's not willing to coach the team he has in 2024.

I just don't get bent out of shape watching a team that won 3 cups and went to 4 in the last ~15 years go through tough seasons, meanwhile you get your panties in a bunch after every loss and come and yell at the sky.

I always find it funny how the two guys not on the ice get blamed for the on ice performance.

Yeah the 19 guys on the ice playing the game and not doing it well are not at fault

I appreciate that outlook. Feels very entitled of fans to want Crosby to be traded. Guy almost ended his career with neck injuries, won 3 cups, he deserves the respect to retire as a penguin.

100%, I feel the same way about Geno and Letang, only caveat is IF they want to retire a Penguin, if they want to go chase a cup somewhere else too, I'm cool with that. All 3 of those guys have earned their choices IMO. I also have no problem with the Penguins trying to keep them "competitive" until they retire, because looking at the Sabres, and even the Oilers -- no rebuild is guaranteed so I'd rather enjoy 87, 71, 58 until they retire and then rebuild after.

Malkin needs to workout this summer. Maybe Carter can be his trainer this year.

Yeah, it's just entertainment. I've seen them win 5 cups. This year's team was never going to win a cup, could've at best made the playoffs and won a round if they got lucky.

Overall, even though they've stunk it up a times, I've still enjoyed watching them this year.

So many pucks cross the goal line with the D just staring at the goalie.

Bent out of shape? Hurray for 3 cups also. I'm hapy also. However it's 2024 so with the "core" still together how the pens doing this season? 2024. You want to talk about superbowls also from like a looong time ago?

It's funny becuase between you, matt and victoria (who ever she is)? you guys have more excuses for this team that I have ever seen. 1 day it's PP the next game it's injuries, the next it's choppy ice? I say karlssons name and matt jumps on it? Why is he bent out of shape? I mentioned he had 46 points and that was a horrible idea bringing him in at 10 mil a season for the next 3 years? Then he mentioned about skating ability? Come on? To each their own man. Like I said you don't like what I say just bypass me.

- jb55

What excuses? lol I don't make excuses, I make fun of you.

I have a hard time getting there because I know this team is capable of better and it's frustrating to watch self inflicted destruction.

Yeah, it has also been very frustrating at times, but the net value of watching the games has been positive for me overall. The first half they played a lot of very good hockey games -- they found ways of losing many of those that were almost comical -- but still, it was fun to watch Sid do Sid things, etc.

I don't have time to watch any other teams until the Pens are out, but I'll adopt CAR for the playoffs. Would love to see Jake light up PHI again.
