I feel like I’ve been saying Smith would do better with a straight forward player like Eller for months.

Pretty sure I recall you saying things along those lines but it was also probably tied into Geno hating haha

Speaking truthfully about a hockey player isn’t hating.

Give the guy a break. He played the long game. You start by ripping into a dude in his prime. Everyone thinks you’re crazy. Then that dude gets older and you start to sound a bit sane. Then eventually that dude sucks and you were right all along.

Malkin took nights off in his prime, quit on games, took lazy selfish penalties. Non of his major faults are age related. He’s not Crosby. Smith gets away from him and the shooting fairies tickle his pickle too

With Drew and Puustinen lighting the lamp and Bemstrom putting one off the post. Ludvig is playing well also. Just play the kids, they aren't the reason we're currently out of a playoff spot. I dare say they are doing more to put us back into the race than anyone else.

Since we've pretty much abandoned playing defense. Pens 8 - 6.

Yes, it's Drew now, he's gained superstar status. Just like Sid, Geno, Jake, Kristopher and Max.

O’Connor getting an empty net goal just brings down the rate of the hockey gods. Hopefully he joins the church or something in the offseason.

Guentzel 5 points in 4 games since Joining the Canes. Got moved onto Aho's line yesterday and the two had instant chemistry.

I know, I have him in Fantasy. He also has had 11 shots, 7 hits, 3 blocks and 2 PPP's.

I also picked up Bunting. 3 points in 5 games including a GWG which won that category for me this past week haha to go along with 13 shots, 7 hits, 2 blocks and 1 PPP.

Bunting's goal yesterday you would never ever see from Jake, though. It was refreshing as F to see that kinda battle level on the door step.

I would still rather have Jake haha

Bunting actually battled on the doorstep?!?

He did that a little bit when he arrived in Raleigh but as time went on he did less and less of it. Spent a lot more time beside the net than in front of it. But overall I really liked him. Very rarely did he have a game where he wasn't noticeably involved in some capacity.

Jake has always been a consistent point machine. Hopefully he continues his playoff success with CAR, since I really hate the rest of the Metro teams ... and the Atlantic teams with a chance.

I really like having a Bunting type in the forwards. Would actually like a few more....but few of them AND Jake haha.

Now, if Bunting keeps it up and any of other pieces pay off then Pens might have won the trade, especially if Jake does end up being a pure rental.

Only time will tell.

I’d like to see what Torts and the Flyers do running on adrenaline. I’ll still hate the logo but the Pens - Flyers rivalry is long dead and Torts is the man.

Legend has it if you place two broken sticks outside your door a week before the trade deadline and your favorite players rookie card. If traded the shooting percentage fairies shall come in the night.

Let's wait and see what Guentzel does against our D. He'll be seeing a lot of Karlsson and Letang.
