I saved this team once talking to Ledecky about Garth and Doug. Do I have to do it again?

Give it a shot. I don't want Lou giving away any more 7 year deals.

Looking at the schedule I'd be surprised if the Isles could get more than 3 points in the next 5 games.

Isles are 0-5-3 on the second half of back2backs this year. I'd love to see their record against opponents who are on the second half of THEIR back2back. It's not good, I'm sure of thatm

I don’t want Lou doing anything. He has done enough.

I'm going to go full broken record here, but over the past two seasons its just stunning how many fundamental mental errors these players make. We're not talking system errors but simple things like being aware of players getting behind you, knowing when to switchover coverage, dropping back for pinching dmen, not deflecting pucks right in front of your own goalie....the list goes on.
These aren't coaching issues. They're player issues. Just dumb mistakes that you expect peewee players to not make.
They're not a talented team, we know that. They compete by playing disciplined, positionally strong hockey backstopped by elite goaltending. The margin for error is too small to have this many mistakes integrated into your everyday game

Yep. The team has been stale for going on three seasons. It’s time we stop believing in this group. Not sure how much more proof we need.

If you want to be a serious Cup contender, you have to keep making moves to improve your team and keep up with the rest of the league. The Islanders way of handling the roster is not a good way to be a Cup contender. If the Islanders cannot sign top UFA's or quality ones, maybe they need to go back to building more through the draft. As the Team gets better and better, maybe they will be more attractive to top end players? If with a new building, fans are going to get tired of a middle of the pack team just fighting to make the Wildcard.
