The schedule makers suck, how do they make the rangers play 3pm on Saturday then 1pm on sunday with travel? That’s franked up |

Think we are overreacting a little bit here. 3rd game in 4 nights against a team that had a week off. Not really scared of Tampa. Thing we just lost our legs in this one and look exhausted. - Awolff9
I’ll still gladly take Detroit, Philly or the Islanders over Tampa in the 1st round. |

I obviously agree with preferring those matchups over Tampa but I’m just saying Tampa doesn’t really scare me like they used to. Think we can slay the dragon if we were to matchup with them. |

So tired of this group choking away leads. It's one thing if you get poop kicked, or lose a 1 goal game. No excuse to play a near perfect 1st period and then it all goes to pot. |

Jesus you guys are rough. Rangers were dropping like flies last night. Like I mentioned 3rd game in 4 nights. Tampa coming off an extended break. I’m not trying to make excuses but this team has been playing exceptionally well lately without Trouba. Tampa is a good team especially in that building. Let’s put this behind us and come out flying against Pitt tomorrow. |

Also that line was really humming. Point was all over the place and that goal to tie the game at 3 was world class. It is one thing to put the puck through a defensemen's triangle in open ice but to do it that close to the goal and pull his stick over and get a shot is something else.
Cooper saw that line take over the game and was running them out there every other shift.

Hopefully they learn from it. They got cute up 2-0 thought the game was over. That Brodz turn over can never happen in the dzone especially against a team like Tampa. They should’ve and could’ve won that game but stoped playing the right way |

I saw some of that. But, I also feel like I saw Tampa surge after the 1st period and we simultaneously ran into the wall that comes for every team late in their 3rd game in 4 nights. Too bad, because we looked like inevitable Cup champions in that first period! |

I was at the game last night. Took my grandson to his first ranger game. He had a blast regardless of the crap we saw on the ice last night. A very large contingent of rangers fans were in attendance. Giveaways! Johnny B giveaways goal. Laffy fumbling the puck and takes a penalty. Igor roughing penalty. Give up a soft goal. Miller a turnover machine last night, and yet they were tied going into the final period. Really disappointed after the way they came out and totally controlled the game. Schneider probably was the best player on the ice, finishing checks and moving the puck. |

As I said on X: It’s one game. They lost Zib and Lindgren during the game. Panarin and Laf were banged up. Igor hates being bumped, this is where Trouba and Rempe down the road will help retaliate or prevent it. Tampa was the more desperate team. It was the third contest in four days, no shock they ran out of gas a little. Everyone take a deep breath and chill |

the fact that tampa was off for 5 days allowed cooper to just keep throwing out that point/kuch line basically every other shift.

I'm not annoyed they lost. I'm annoyed how they lost. Cause like I said, some nights you get poop kicked and you can tell they are toast quickly. Sometimes you lose a 1 goal game because of 1 mistake. It's annoying, but it happens. What drives me crazy is when they have multiple leads in a game and still lose.
I saw every minute of that game. Defensively in period 1 they were almost perfect. One of the best periods of the season. WTF happened? And the blow leads is on the team/core more so than coaching staff. |

They simply didn't have enough in the tank to keep it up for the last 40 minutes. Making it even tougher, Tampa made some impressive changes to their play. They amped up the forecheck and altered their strategy for moving the puck through our 1-3-1. Tough loss. But, I refuse to put too much into it. We'll see if Tampa can make such changes when we are playing on identical schedules in a 7 game series!!! |

Zib went out and hurt the structure. Lindgren got banged up as well. Third game in four days against a rested team. Bad play by Brodzinski. Weak penalty call when score was 3-3. Yes, they should have been better. At times, other team gets credit and you cut your own team a smidge of slack |

Lightning fan here, my compliments to your board. Intelligent and salient commentary. Not just emotional dribble.
You have a great team, when healthy, probably the best d core. The question will be if the team can stay composed during the playoffs and your best guys do not put too much pressure on themselves. Lots of expectations, but great team.

Igor needs to stop punching people when they come into his crease, because it's not deterring anyone from doing it in the future, and it's accomplishing exactly what the opposition wants by doing it in the first place. As soon as tampa or florida start doing that shiz and igor responds, there's a scrum, emotions get heated, and tampa and florida just take over the game afterwards because they've dragged the opponent into playing their game. They'll do anything to get themselves pissed off and into a death match of a game, which is why they're so damn good and true winners in the playoffs. You could tell Tampa neeeeeeded that game, even if they didn't desperately need it in the standings. They convinced themselves that they did, and were able to elevate their game.
This is what I worry about our team - when we're up 2-0, 3-1, etc. (in games or in series), how do we manage to elevate our game THEN. Not when it's truly desperation time in game 7s, but when we're up and can put a team away.
All that being said, obviously I agree with the out of gas assessment and it was obvious that we let them back in the game with the turnovers and brief absences. Games like this worry me though, because I've seen this crap for years in big games when it matters most. |
