Willing to take the L on Krebs yet?

Dude is garbage and isn’t half the player Mitts is.

- sbroads24

Mitts wasn’t even half the player he is currently until 14 months ago.

I’m not ready to write off Krebs yet, but they absolutely should be added a 3C regardless

I don’t mean to sound like a douche but good grief are we seriously doing the linemate thing once again?

Skinner literally leads the team in goals

Girgensons had *0* assists playing primarily with Krebs most of the year, gets away from him and now has like 5 assists in the last 10 games

The denominator is Krebs. He stinks

- sbroads24

No offense given or taken my friend, we just chit chatting as always.

But yes lol.

Skinner is awful. He can shoot if given a point blank opportunity pretty well but does nothing south of the hash marks that is worth while.

Girgs has 5 assists in 10 games on the top line, being carried by Tuch and Tage. Linemates make a huge difference. Kind of proving the point I'm trying to make tbh.

75% of this team either is allergic to competing and got dropped or traded by former team or has never been taught to compete at an NHL level. It’s a huge issue that is going to take moving on from many players and coaches.
Probably going to be some unpopular opinions on this but I believe the only players we should seriously consider keeping are

Tuch, JJ, Cozens, maybe Krebs for a bottom role, Dahlin, Byram, Power, UPL

The rest should be up for discussion at this point

- lulags

I don't have any issue getting rid of Krebs, but he is the highest compete player on the team by far. He's also the only one pushing back against teams that start clobbering us physically, which is sad given his size in comparison to everyone else on our team. No issue trading him, but he's fine for a bottom6 role in my eyes. If he had a couple decent wingers, he'd probably go back to being that .4-.5ppg player he was a couple years ago. He hasn't gotten worse, his linemates did.

If Krebs wasn't a 1st round pick, would he be a full-time NHL player? Sure, better linemates would help. Has he done anything to earn that?

I know we’ve affectionately dubbed the 4th liners Larry’s.

What do we call our 14 5’9 160lbs forward NHL and prospect core?

- lulags

Of all the things wrong with the organization, we are choosing to complain about the #1 prospect pool in the league now ?

Start working out, the defensive front you’ll need to uphold next season when that narrative breaks…I look forward to your efforts

Wait until several of those fall short of expectations.

See Kings, LA and every other loaded prospect organization.

After listening to ATW. My thoughts

(frank) Terry Pegula.
(frank) Adams.

They are the two worst things to ever happen to the Buffalo Sabres.

- washedup20

Good rants today. Just what I needed to hear.

Said they want two mean defenders on their 3rd pair. Got me thinking, who is the meanest player on this team? Toughest to play against. Dahlin? Benson?

That's the how low the bar is. I'm mentioning a skilled 18 year old as one their toughest guys to play against. Girgs and Greenway rants were great.

This player is more valuable than Power to th Sabres

https://www.capfriendly.com/players/ryan-lindgren

The Sabres need everything Power doesn’t provide.

Yeah, but one time middlestat wasn’t good which also means Krebs is going to be good at some point for some reason and follow the same career path

Potential is great and all, but regressing this year at 23 should raise some tough questions this summer. He's not helping them win right now.

Krebs can’t develop under the developmental coach. Great sign for his future development.

See that’s always been my issue with him is I don’t see the potential.

He makes a high end pass every 10 games or so.

That’s great Girgensons roofs one every 10 games or so.

If he wasn’t a big part of the Eichel deal no one would care if he came out of the lineup for Rousek

It’s so bad, need to sign a Rempe/Ott/kronwall batch, and just start ignoring the coach

Fire Ellis. Replace with Scott Arneil from The Peg. HC in waiting.
Fire Wolford. Hire Brad Shaw from Philadelphia.

Get those two to define the new system and implement it. Arneil handles the PP, while Shaw takes over the PK.

This GMing thing is easy peasy.
